Unification revised

Description
Updated for 1.22 - Third Rome

Ever wanted to form Germany owning your personal vassal swarm, without annexing them? Every wanted to unite your people when the rightful country has been formed? The solution for your problem is:

Unifications Revised

Features

1. Diplomatic unification

This mod allows to form the following nations while you don't own the required provinces yourself, but your subjects do:

Andalusia, Arabia, Bharat, Croatia, Egypt, England, France, Germany, Hindustan, Inca, Ireland, Italy (& Kingdom of God), Malaya, Manchu, Maya, Hannover, Westfalia, Greece, Mughal Empire, Netherlands*, Persia, Poland, Prussia, Romania, Russia, Ruthenia, Scandinavia, Shan, Tibet, Tuscany.

* If you are Burgundy, you still need to own Holland to form the Netherlands.

Both Austria and the Dutch cultures, can form Germany.

2. Less severe effects

Additionally, as this is a more diplomatic manner, it does not upset the emperor at all. You won't leave the empire, if you are forming the Germany, Italy, or the other mid-staged united nations inthe Germanic culture group.

Your capital will stay the same, unless you are forming Netherlands with Burgundy.

3. Vassals seek to be part of your empire.

Theres a decision for subjects who are the same culturegoup as you to join your realm seeking annexation. This has some ADM and DIP power cost, but is generally much lower than annexing them manually. You can decline their request, giving some bonuses to your diplomacy temporarily and to their development costs.

This only works for the following culturegroups only:

German, Scandinavian, British, Italian, Iberian, French, Russian, Greek, Arab, Maya, East Asian (Chinese), Malay, and the culturegroups of India are handled to be in the same culturegroup.

Additionally the following cultures consider the following coutnry as their uninon:

- Flemish, Dutch, Wallonian consider Netherlands their union
- Saxon, Prussian and Pommeranian consider Prussia their union
- Hannoverian and Hessian consider Westphalia their union

This annextion has a cooldown of 5 years, and the subjects won't do it more than once every decade.

Compatibility
Extends decesions, events, localisation and country modifiers, therefore should be compatible with every other mod.
NOT ACHIEVMENT COMPATIBLE.

One more thing- I think all vassals should go through the even that makes them ask to be integrated when their overlord is an empire. In a kingdom it makes sense for them only to be integrated with the same culture because it gives a feudalism feel, but imperialist states would be focused more on expanding than anything else.

Ohhhhhhhh thanks. That's really helpful. Maybe you should explain more about what the mod does and how it does it... I don't think that's mentioned in the description, and you don't list the requirements for the vassal events.

I'm not sure about the extended timeline mod, but actually there is a mechanism for PU junior partners to be integrated. It's not an event, but happens on succession. See more at:

Oh, they will? I tried playing Extended Timeline at the 1444 start (no, I don't have a rational reason) and norway glitched out and went rebellious and got support independences from hungary and england and neither norway nor sweden ever asked to be integrated. I started over, and after a while I tagged over to Norway, and apparently Norway needs 25 prestige to take the decision to be integrated? Also, it seemed to think the overlord was... I think it was Luxembourg? It was really confusing and a lot of the requirements to take the decision didn't make sense

Nope. PU junior partners already have a mechanism to be auto-integrated based on mostly the development ratio and your reputation.

Will personal unions members also request to be annexed? (honestly, I think that should be incoorporated for everyone, not just same culture)

Drylaga, it does for sure work. I have been using both mods for months and have not run into any issues before, during, or in the absance of forming Germany/Prussia. If you run into issues, it will be caused a different mod.

sidenote: Great mod, has saved me much (imho) unneeded frustration. Really appreciate the fact that this mod stays updated, unlike some.
