Description
Update: I do not have the original files to this mod due to my old laptop being destroyed. I cannot update it without these files. Im sorry for the inconvience

“Commander, ADVENT has taken notice to Earth’s reptiles and started to incorporate their DNA into abominations of pure horror. Please be swift in eradicating these monstrosities from our beloved home.”

URGENT NEWS: “Sir, new Intel suggests ADVENT has started splicing their own creatures together. Reports say that a new variation of the Viper has been spotted on patrols. A mixture of both snake and sectoid. If this Intel is correct, then we have more things to worry about than snakes.”

The Advent spliced mod incorporates the design of real life snakes and reptiles into custom viper units. Some units have differing stats (listed below) as well as any other viper ideas I can think of.

Stat Changes:

Anaconda: Created to excel in the deepest Jungles, Rivers and swamps. These creatures can eat bullets almost as well as eating you. (Low mobility, but much higher health)

Flying Snake: Although they are quick to kill, do not let that fool you. These snakes can close the distance between you and its fangs in an instant. (High mobility, lower health)

Veptoid: Fused with both snake and human/sectoid DNA, these monstrosities can tear apart your mind far greater than any venom can. (mindspin and a higher will stat)

Neon Garter Snake: Born with skin that shines frightfully bright, it uses its natural glow to blind its prey. Don’t go into
the light. (Higher dodge chance)

CottonMouth: Augmented with improved eyesight than its genetic cousin, this creature can pinpoint fatal areas within seconds. (Higher crit chance)

Coral Snake: With poison more deadly than a thousand scorpions, these reptiles coat their ammunition with venom that can melt the toughest of armor. (armor-piercing)

Emerald Tree Boa: With genetics stemming from the deepest of jungles, these abominations can see even the smallest of prey (higher detection radius and sight range)

Chameleon: Infused with the DNA of chameleons and alien genetics. These creatures may be frail but they can blend and ambush you when you least expect it. Grenades are recommended (very low health, extremely high dodge chance) (in beta form, will change mesh and abilities)

California King Snake

coming soon: (open to suggestions)
black mamba
Rattle Snake
Ethiopian Mountain Adder
Komodo Dragon

Open to new snake or reptile suggestions, more submissions equal more units.
If you have any suggestions or criticisms, please either comment in the discussion chat or the regular comments below.
(sorry for low quality tetxures in screenshots, my pc isn’t the best)

Huge helps to Indigoblade who basically helped me code everything and Kobazco who helped me with creating the AI.
If you like this mod, please check out another mod I worked on, ADVENT ASCENDED and a few other mods I have helped in.

would it be ok if someone else ported these to WOTC?

@Wyldesnelsson, using Enemy Reskinner works if you want to add the viper colours to the vipers in-game. It also can randomise them so more than one option shows. I´ve tried with WOTC/LWOTC and it works fine, just that sometimes the pod reveal cinematic will use the default skin.

If I want to use the skins as part of an enemy reskinner mod, is it a matter of just deleting the config files and script in the mod? (so it works only as a resource pack). I play LWOTC so it´s not compatible but that should work.

It literally says it's dead a couple of comments down, @JCGemx.

@landgreen wouldn't it be theoretically possible to extract the files needed from the mod? The textures should be inside the upk

are you gonna make this WOTC Compatible?
