Caribbean System MiniMod
Hi all, I'm glad to introduce this (mini)mod to you all;

I'm not the best description writer, so I'll keep it simple.

Features
  • A new trade company region in the caribbean, covering all Caribbean islands that are not Cuba or Hispaniola (Bermuda included, this means it won't be stolen by the US if they form in an ahistorical fashion).
  • Two new small colonial regions in Cuba and Hispaniola, and the complete Caribbean island system has been removed, allowing for two small colonial nations instead of one ahistorically big one that also takes the smaller islands that historically were not included in those administrative colonial governments.
  • New names for the Hispaniola colony; St. Domingue for French culture nations and Santo Domingo for Iberian culture nations, Saint Dominic for English/Irish/Scottish Catholic nations and Sankt Dominikus for Catholic germans, as well as Kiskeja for Scandinavians, if you know any (at least semi-historical) names for other nations when they colonize Hispaniola, shoot it!
  • Cuba is called Isla Juana by Spain/Castile/Aragon, Küba by Turkish nations, Kuba by German and Swedish nations and Cuba by other nations, if you know any better names for other nations, Shoot them!
  • If Hispaniola becomes independent they may form Haiti, if Cuba becomes independent they may form a post-colonial Cuban nation.
To-do list
  • Make a series of events to incorporate neighboring caribbean provinces into another administrative sector: This would mean Puerto Rico may be incorporated into Hispaniola and that Jamaica may be incorporated by Cuba if their colonial overlord controls it, but also that Curacao or Trinidad may be incorporated into a Colombian colony, and that Grenada may be incorporated into that colony after Trinidad had been incorporated earlier. DONE
  • When the former bullet point is achieved, I hope to make a system that will allow the islands become independent as an OPM (One Province Minor) after the administrative colony they had been integrated into declared independence and has won that war (or if that colony was simply released by the mother nation or liberated by another country)... DONE (except with Jamaica, gotta find a way to make it work...
  • Add a Cuban post-colonial nation and a decision to form it. DONE
  • An eventchain that causes a slave revolt in Cuba or Hispaniola (or both) if the mother country has any slave province and is either constitutional government type (meaning: monarchy or republic).
DLC
While the mod does work without dlc, I strongly recommend you have the dlc's 'conquest of Paradise' and 'Wealth of Nations. Especially Wealth of Nations is important as you can not have trade companies without it, Conquest of Paradise will only prevent you from playing as the Colonial nations and therefore you should be perfectly able to play without it.The mod is untested with the dlc 'El Dorado' but I don't expect major problems with them, if any bugs appear because of that or because of other reasons, feel free to post here.Wow, you've read all down to the bottom, yay for you!

The localisation issue is because 1.17 changed the encoding to UTF-8-BOM, just change that and it should all work fine.

I don't know if it's because of the version, but I've got some serious localisation issue here. Currently running this in 1.17, which worked fine. But all the localisation from the mod is lost ever since I started running it on 1.17. Perhaps you should take a look at it when you update this mod for 1.17? Please do 'cause I really love this mod.
