Report a translation problem
You have to delete the flag cache in the following directory: X:\Users\YOUR_NAME\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Europa Universalis IV
All you have to do is delete your gfx folder there, and the game will regenerate a new flag cache with working shields, I had this with CK2

Isla Juana was the colonial name of Cuba during the early colonization era, I don't know anyone who still knows the United States as Thirteen Colonies either, if Cuba becomes independent, their name will be Cuba...
I love the idea though!
It's an idea, I may implement it for the scandinavian cultures...

It adds two separate colonial regions onto the two largest islands (Hispaniola and Cuba) and represents the other caribbean islands as a trade company region, this way both the west indian trade companies of European nations are represented and if Haiti becomes independent, the antilles won't join it, neither will it form outside of Hispaniola, same with Cuba...

Isn't that bad of an idea either :) Kuba it is...
Seems like a great mod tho.
Apparantly all the islands used to be grouped together by the name Curacao as an administrative district
