Specialized Minor Settlements

Description
Garrison settlements are currently only for the Romans for now, due to the nature of their gameplay which is usually defensive. I may create garrison settlements for the Barbarians and the Eastern/Desert factions in the future if I receive enough feedback.

This mod aims to combat cookie cutter provinces by adding 2 additional branches of minor settlement main buildings, similar to the system in Rome II.

The three branches are:

The Garrison Branch (Romans Only): Adds more units to your city's garrison and has walls from tier 2 up, as well as a public order bonus. Additionally, the tier 4 settlement building has high walls, which provides excellent protection to your city. However, these cities do not produce income, consume more food, and even cost maintenance to maintain.

The Economic (Vanilla) Branch: These cities are essentially unaltered from the vanilla minor settlements aside from a new picture and name for the tier 4 settlement building. I may decide to buff their money output in the future if they aren't used as much as the farming settlements.

The Agriculture Branch: Providing bonuses to agriculture income in its' city, these buildings are useful for fertile provinces. The Agriculture settlements also produce food instead of consuming it, and a bit less money than the Economic settlements. Their downside is that their garrisons are smaller, their tier 4 is not walled, and they produce no positive public order (but at the same time no squalor!). But, most importantly, the tier 4 building provides +1 fertility to the province it is in. That means a province with 2 farming settlements will have +2 fertility, which will be very useful in combatting climate change or growing food in arid environments.

I will continue to develop this mod, as this is just a proof of concept for now.

loved this mod, but somehow is giving errors with the latest patch.

it just happened that the game crashes in the start of 450b.c. making it impossible to end the long victory condition and the reason seems that when there's a settlement with nothing built in the city slot (like if they were just colonized but it's a fully unlocked city) it'll crash

And another thing, the garrison branch doesn't have any walls but it does give you the option to build siege towers and battering rams. So, agricultural settlements get walls but when you try to fight in battles in those settlements the game crashes, and garrison settlements have no walls whatsoever.

Brilliant! Yeah, I'm getting rid of this broken-ass mod.

I'm getting a bug where my game crashes on loading tier 4 farming settlements. I think it may be related to the fact that the map has walls when it's not supposed to? During the loading screen the image of the map shows the settlement to have walls even when there's no "Has basic/high walls" in the settlement tooltip.

Back in 10th April 2016 another user by the name Yeti Puzzle reported the same bug and you said you'd check it out. The fact that the mod hasn't been updated since the 20th of March the same year shows you either did not follow through with that or just couldn't manage to fix the issue.

This is a great mod and I really enjoy using it so it really pains me to see this bug hasn't been resolved after almost three years.
