Loot Pinatas

Description
This mod adds additional base game items to Alien Timed Loot! Aliens literally explode with loot (like a Pinata) making it even more tempting to run into the open and grab it!

Loot Pinatas is a simple mod designed to make Timed Loot a little more fun/rewarding while trying to remain minimally invasive to base game balance.

What You'll See (screenshot 1):
On the tactical map, you should see more items scatter about when the Timed Loot drops (Weapon Mods, PCSs, Some Orange Boxes, etc.).

What You'll Get (screenshot 2):
In the Loot Recovery Window, all Timed Loot will include (in addition to base loot normally awarded by the game):
-A guaranteed Force Level appropriate Weapon Mod and PCS with small chances for additionals of each.
-A small, random amount of Alien Alloys.
-A small, random amount of Elerium Crystals
-A small, random amount of Supplies
-Advent Officers have a chance to drop a Facility Lead when they are carrying the Timed Loot

If I use this mod, must I start new game? Because I am about in the middle of story, and when I download this mod, game tells me (when I ltry load it) it may break, when I then load, I dont see any change, like the mod dont work. Loot crates drop from enemys, or lying around?

I Normally make a modpack of the files I am using currently and then i can unsub and resub to them instantly later. Its quick and easy. And if you screw up or decide to try something different then its easy to swap back and forth with this method. There are also third party xcom launchers that automaticly reorder the modlist. Honestly all you really need to do is figure out what you want and then stick with it. The more you change the game the more chance somethings not going to work with something else and the more complicated it gets the less youa re actually playing. Hope that helps.

This is a problem with the base game and techniclly its not a problem. Its more like cleaning up the kitchen before you cook. You don't want to modify the game and then unmodify it but not re add the original files incase the mod does not include them and you also don't want to keep the old configs when the new mods might be making changes to files that no longer exist. These are just a couple of examples of how you can screw your game up. Its always best when you switch your mods around you remore all previous mods and verify the integrity and remove all the config files so you are starting fresh. Its not something this particular mod author can fix.

I appreciate the stopgap fix. Will a more permanent fix be implemented where this isn't necessary, somehow?

@Raelist: After disabling Mods for a new game, it's good practice to delete your config folder and allow the base game to rebuild it. XCom has been known to hang on to config edits unintentionally! :steamsad:

Give this a try:

Note: If you have War of the Chosen, you'll want to clean up its config folder as well. You'll see the War of the Chosen folder in the same folder containing the vanilla XCom2 folder.
