Does it work with LWOTC?
Rozmetal 11 Feb, 2019 @ 5:44am
If I use this mod, must I start new game? Because I am about in the middle of story, and when I download this mod, game tells me (when I ltry load it) it may break, when I then load, I dont see any change, like the mod dont work. Loot crates drop from enemys, or lying around?

Anyone that knows how to get the mod to work? can't get it to work, have even deleted the config and tried agan, but no luck
WaKKO151 17 Oct, 2017 @ 8:00am
I Normally make a modpack of the files I am using currently and then i can unsub and resub to them instantly later. Its quick and easy. And if you screw up or decide to try something different then its easy to swap back and forth with this method. There are also third party xcom launchers that automaticly reorder the modlist. Honestly all you really need to do is figure out what you want and then stick with it. The more you change the game the more chance somethings not going to work with something else and the more complicated it gets the less youa re actually playing. Hope that helps.
WaKKO151 17 Oct, 2017 @ 7:54am
This is a problem with the base game and techniclly its not a problem. Its more like cleaning up the kitchen before you cook. You don't want to modify the game and then unmodify it but not re add the original files incase the mod does not include them and you also don't want to keep the old configs when the new mods might be making changes to files that no longer exist. These are just a couple of examples of how you can screw your game up. Its always best when you switch your mods around you remore all previous mods and verify the integrity and remove all the config files so you are starting fresh. Its not something this particular mod author can fix.
Elkhan 17 Oct, 2017 @ 7:39am
I appreciate the stopgap fix. Will a more permanent fix be implemented where this isn't necessary, somehow?
Ashlynne_Lee  [author] 17 Oct, 2017 @ 7:36am
@Raelist: After disabling Mods for a new game, it's good practice to delete your config folder and allow the base game to rebuild it. XCom has been known to hang on to config edits unintentionally! :steamsad:

Give this a try:

https://www.reddit.com/r/Xcom/comments/4e8vfk/help_me_delete_my_configuration_file/

Note: If you have War of the Chosen, you'll want to clean up its config folder as well. You'll see the War of the Chosen folder in the same folder containing the vanilla XCom2 folder.
Elkhan 16 Oct, 2017 @ 9:46pm
Having trouble disabling it. Turning it off, and even uninstalling it doesn't seem to stop the effect in-game. Last time it took deleting the game, and re-installing. Any advice?

Definitely looking forward to the WotC version, thank you for working on the update!

awesome. ty for the response.
Ashlynne_Lee  [author] 1 Sep, 2017 @ 3:51pm
@Jivix: Awesome! Glad you found it.

@WaKKO151: This version is for the original release and will not work with WotC. WotC Version should be published this weekend I think. I've been play testing it for 2 days and it works fine.
Typhoon 1 Sep, 2017 @ 2:54pm
cant wait for WOTC version.
Jivix 1 Sep, 2017 @ 2:31pm
#Ashlynne_Lee: Turned out to be Long War Perk Park causing all the trouble. It claims to only modify classes, perks, and implants, but it completely breaks Loot Pinatas.
WaKKO151 1 Sep, 2017 @ 1:41pm
Does this work with WOTC?
Ashlynne_Lee  [author] 1 Sep, 2017 @ 11:17am
#Jivix: Hmmm... not sure, but I wouldn't think that Mod would cause a collision. You would be looking for any mod you have that modifies XComGameCore.ini and references any of the TimedLoot tables. Those files would have to be merged. If you don't have anything like that, then I have no idea since I don't know your environment. I'd suggest trying a clean game test with no Mods except this one and see if you get extra loot during the Gate Crasher mission. If you have the console enabled, just use the 'PowerUp' command to breeze through it in 30 seconds!
Jivix 1 Sep, 2017 @ 10:29am
#Ashlynne_Lee: The only other loot-related mod I have is Configurable Loot Timers. It says all that it modifies is XComGameState_LootDrop. Is this the file you are talking about? If so, should I be able to merge the two versions of the file together somehow?
Ashlynne_Lee  [author] 1 Sep, 2017 @ 1:05am
#Jivix: Loot Piñatas has no dependencies. It does, however, modify the base loot tables so it will not be compatible with other mods that do that as well. If you're not seeing extra Timed Loot, then you probably have a Mod collision. :steamsad:
Jivix 1 Sep, 2017 @ 12:35am
Does this mod have any dependencies? I have it installed and activated but it's not functioning in-game. I'm just using the base game.
ImJustJoshin 30 Aug, 2017 @ 8:28pm
Is there a possiblity you could make this work for the Updated Grimy Loot Mod for LW2? I took a look at the custom loot table you have and I believe that is for the old outdated and not developed Grimy Loot Mod.
crazipowerz 30 Aug, 2017 @ 10:49am
I love this mod :cybereye:
Ashlynne_Lee  [author] 30 Aug, 2017 @ 8:08am
I have not picked up WotC yet, but I'll be looking to do updates when I do. Looking around, it sounds like WotC had quite an impact on the Mod community. :steamsad:
Draconk 30 Aug, 2017 @ 3:15am
Any possibility that this mod gets updated for WotC? Currently crashes the game.

aye, crashes at the start

Sadly I don't think so. I was getting CTD until I unsubbed.

Shadow of Epsilon 21 Jul, 2017 @ 7:00pm
Well, this mod has saved me in my third Long War 2 game...it's odd, watching much needed supplies suddenly stack themselves atop an enemy corpse....but it's really funny.
Gas Town War Boy 18 Jul, 2017 @ 1:37pm
does it work with grimeys loot mod?
Ashlynne_Lee  [author] 17 Jul, 2017 @ 7:23pm
@Jaded Lad: Sounds like you have a conflict somewhere. I wouldn't know what it is without knowing your entire Mod list and then checking each Mod individually. You can try the "load last" method. Unsubscribe to Loot Piñatas, launch the game, quit the game, resubscribe to Loot Piñatas, and then launch the game again.
Your Mum's Boyfriend 14 Jul, 2017 @ 1:28pm
Damn, what a mod. For some reason though it completely stopped working for me, now all I get are the bummy base game one drops. any clue how to resolve this? I don't have any other loot mods enabled.
Fel 2 Jul, 2017 @ 8:23am
This is completely unbalanced to an extreme level, but I don't really care about balance, so I am really enjoying having enough modules for everyone and not always being short on cash.
clement_erignoux 23 Mar, 2017 @ 5:06pm
Hey guys ! I've never before updated an .ini file.I use Grimy Loot as well, so I did try to add what edgarcabrera's posted, but it seems that I no longer get any loot. What should I do with the segment posted by edgarcabrera ? copy and paste it at the end of the section regarding loot in the .ini file ? Or replace what was in the .ini file by it ?
Thanks for your help ! :)
BE02-Raziel 23 Feb, 2017 @ 7:23am
I also noticed that the Drones are dropping normal loot but I honestly wouldn't bother because they're drones. I'd imagine they wouldn't even provide much of a reward just by killing them. In the end, it's up to the game to decide who has the loot at the start of the mission. The only downside to this is that the Drone ended up being chosen as the loot carrier, bringing down the net loot of the entire mission compared if no Drones were present or were loot carriers.

As for balance, everyone has their own opinion. I did take some time to balance out the custom tables so that they make sense for example, enemies higher in the hierarchy, like the officer has SOME chance of dropping a better Lockbox rather than the typical Tier 1 Lockbox.
Ashlynne_Lee  [author] 23 Feb, 2017 @ 7:15am
@Yusukitty: Yeah, it's not so much a bug, but the custom Drone Table. There's really no need for the Drone to have a custom table since it ends up pointing to a base table anyway. Here's a comment buried a few pages back that talked about a fix to the LW2 config. I haven't bothered to fix it in my game either since I don't think it's an issue.

-----------------------------------
The approach I would take would be to modify LW's XComGameCore.ini and change the Drone Timed Loot tables to the following:

+LootTables = ( TableName = "LWDroneM1_TimedLoot",Loots[0]=(Chance=100,MinCount=1,MaxCount=1,TableRef="AdvTrooperM1_TimedLoot",RollGroup=1) )
+LootTables = ( TableName = "LWDroneM2_TimedLoot",Loots[0]=(Chance=100,MinCount=1,MaxCount=1,TableRef="AdvTrooperM2_TimedLoot",RollGroup=1) )

That would point them to the exact same loot group that they're already pointing to, but it would wire them into Base Game tables that Loot Piñatas references. That would fix the issue.
Yusukitty 22 Feb, 2017 @ 11:57pm
A little bug i found. Drones drop normal loot. My guess is since they are an LW2 only opponent they don't have their own table in this mod. I think it's a nice dofference so I don't plan to fix it.
Yusukitty 20 Feb, 2017 @ 7:49pm
I thought the idea was interestung so I decided to take a risk on it with Long War 2 mod. I was also using Grimy's loot mod. Since I added your custom loot tables it works fine and so far I've encountered no problems. It's maybe a little overpowered, but a simple ini file edit fuxes that, and seeing all that loot just explode makes me smile.
BE02-Raziel 14 Feb, 2017 @ 3:06pm
I'm glad to hear that you approve.

@Oberfuhrer-Razgriz: A discussion thread sounds like a good idea! Thanks for sharing! :steamhappy:
BE02-Raziel 14 Feb, 2017 @ 12:56pm
For anyone who's interested, here are custom loot tables for the following mods that I recently made:
> Loot Tables: http://pastebin.com/qsuEcxGC
- Grimy's Loot
- Bio Trooper
- Draco Enemy
- Valentine Viper
- LW: ABA

Included are the modified loot table inis, some references I used to create those tables and folders with the mod name and mod ID for easier identification.

I can confirm that it had worked on the Valentine Vipers and some of the early LW:ABA ADVENT. I haven't fully tested it yet so use at your own risk and be warned that they may not be properly balanced. Otherwise, I will not be held responsible for anything that gets screwed over. I advise you to make backups of the inis before using.

Also,
@Ashlynne
If you would allow it and feel that it's a good idea, I would like to create a Discussion/Thread with the link to these custom tables. At the very least, it'd allow people to enjoy your mod with others mods.

Cheers.

I have just started my first campaign of long war 2 this week and don't know much about all the game mechanism and learn that nasty spys cripple my income, even after winning a lot of battle I'm ALWAYS broken. I have researched a lot of stuff but I can't buy it ... So I install your mod and just pop out a pod of three advent all carrying loot they all fall in the same place becoming a huge pile of loot, that was really really awesome man !!! At least now I can afford some laser rifle and equip them with some nice upgrade :D. Thx you man, really ! And I love the title of your mod by the way.

This is my favorite mod, it makes loot so exciting, like xmas

BE02-Raziel 2 Feb, 2017 @ 4:57pm
Using edgarcabrera's .ini config, I got the ADVENT to explode in a fountain of loot. And it was glorious! Thank you for this mod.
Ashlynne_Lee  [author] 2 Feb, 2017 @ 7:08am
@Oberfuhrer-Razgriz: Yes, if you're using Grimy's you need to use some kind of merged XComGameCore.ini. Give edgarcabrera's a try, but see my comment just above that calls out the Alien tables all pointing to the Boss Tables. You might want to make those edits.
BE02-Raziel 2 Feb, 2017 @ 2:39am
I did a quick test (Grimy's Loot Mod and LW2, as well as various) and I don't see the ADVENT blowing up into Loot and boxes. Do I have to use the .ini config posted by edgarcabrera? Or is it that Loot-splosion are randomized and not guaranteed with each kill?
