After weeks of testing last year, I never was able to get her to feel fun to play. Since I only publish stuff if I had fun, I decided not to upload Nitori until I could overhaul her mechanics. After reading through these comments I might get back into civ 5 over the winter and finally upload it. Maybe I'll finally try balancing Yukari too lol. Either way sorry for the delay and hopefully there will be a Nitori 3.0 after so long.
Huge map, 22 civs, 41 CS, just get the nice spots for borders, capture some other cities and snowball from 40% combat bonus to almost 300%. Didn't win by domination because I had so much money I could buy all the CS 1 turn before the world leader vote.
OK when the AI uses it, OP as **** in human hands (not complaining btw).
Also, in a game where I went full warmonger and there was an AI Yukari, I almost died when she told me:
"You like seeing animated models kill each other a bit too much for a sane person, unless you hace animations turned off. In that case you are even more messed up."
And tes, animations were off xD
I like the concept with her new trait, and I think that when it gets rolling it works very well and can be rewarding to aim to annoy the AI and be aggressive with settling, but then the player part of me that's been using the old trait since you made it misses the indirect fire bonus from the old trait. Both traits are good in their own way, but the indirect fire has an earlier effect that persists through the rest of the game while the new trait has a much larger effect in the late game. That's just my oppinion though, it holds little value. I really enjoy using your Touhou mods together with the rest of the Touhou mods from other creators. I think you've done a great job with them!
I wanted Yukari to have a trait that tied in with her border ability. This would allow her to take advantage of her early airport and teleporting units, giving her great map control while simultaneously increasing the efficiency of her units.
It also gives the player a reason not to mindlessly conquer or raze every enemy city, because that may decrease their border coverage and hence their combat bonus.
Out of curiosity, what made you change the trait ability from what it was in the trio pack?
