WW2 Warships | Furutaka heavy cruiser

Description
Overview

Rigged model of the Furutaka heavy cruiser, with rotating turrets and torpedo launchers. It comes in 2 sizes: one in a 1:1 scale for compatibility with other props and ragdolls, and another one in a 1:4 scale that doesn't take up half of the map.

Notes

-THIS IS A RAGDOLL. It's not drivable/sinkable/destructable.
-Try not to shoot at the ship, it will crash your game.
-You can find this model inside the Addons folder in the spawn menu.

For those wondering why it's not possible to walk on or inside the ships

As I have explained several times before, the collision model of these ships is as complex as possible without making the game ♥♥♥♥ itself. If I make a convex collision model around the ship so it feels "solid", you wouldn't be able to grab and rotate the turrets with the physgun because they would be inside the ship collision mesh. And if i ever attempted to create a concave collision mesh (that is, creating it entirely from scratch), then the compiler would tell me to ♥♥♥♥ off due to how incredibly complex it would be.

About the ship interiors, you should know that I don't make these models myself, they are just ports from a different game (World of Warships in this case). Also think about the complexity of the models: the Warspite battleship has like 160k polygons. Multiply that by 5 if you want a detailed interior, which obviously Gmod can't handle.

it's sinkable actually, if you put tons of hoverballs (not to much, not to less, and freeze it before you put hoverballs) and then after you put the hoverballs on the stern, unfreeze it, and it sinks!

I'd love your uploaded models, would you like to upload more ships from Soviet? NOT the Tsarist Russia, another words those V tier ships. I think there are many dude need this :)

These models already work in Source Filmmaker if you copy them over. A bigger problem is finding a water map large enough to use them effectively.

Would it be possible to port these into Source Film Maker? I've been dying to make a cinematic Warships video for ages!

Hey Killstreaks, since we talked on facepunch I have had this idea:
Why not make a second ship model, this one a dynamic prop, where the turrets would be moved by bone tools and joint tools?
This way you can have a complex collision model, with up to 40 independent parts. I tried it on some of the Gears models and it worked rather well.
It will not of course be enough for the larger ships, but atleast they will be solid to a degree.
