Description
This is my adaptation of the BB8 Droid and completely modelled using Blender.
It has 3 paintable skins, clean, dirty and camouflaged. GIMP was used to design the basic skins, then Substance Painter 2 was used to paint the model and then back to GIMP to add the required masks to make them paintable.

The model moves pretty much like the movie droid.

It has a posable antennas, hatch, arm and torch and I've actually included an sequence that will perform the thumbs up movement.

One thing this BB8 can do the movie version couldn't... It's cloakable!!

Remember, BB8 is a registered Trademark, all rights belong to its respective owners. This model MAY NOT be used for commercial purposes. It was developed as a fan art model.

um... excuse Pte Jack, since you made BB8 for a while, and I really like the way it looks, but I won't bother that much, I will only say just one tiny thing.
Can you make a Model of BB-9e? cause since I playing along with my friends on Star wars Battlefront 2,I always like to use the droids for fun, and I was hoping if you want an opportunity in the future to do one. well... let just say that I wanted to do artwork of BB-9e with me. why? because there's only a few images that i can find. so hope if you don't mind.

r4s also have coned heads and R5s have a real short cone head

all R3 (Goldie) and R4 are, are different coloured R2 units. Which I think we took care of in this model.

R5 has a different dome for a head but I don't think I'll personally go there. At least not in the near future anyway.
