Description
IMPORTANT NOTE!!!!

!!!!Only working for patch 7 of the game!!!!!!! if you want this mod to work youll have to play on that patch
currently bodyguards and unit formations arent in game due to the immense work required to update them after patches. They will return but at this time are not in game.




An overhaul aimed at making the game more 'realistic' and enjoyable for myself. This Mod is a work in progress, so please consider that when making suggestions or comments. As updates are released, please take note of the specific changes in the ‘change notes’ tab above. Changes typically will not be save game compatible.

Due to the scope of this mod, and the many files it changes, most other mods will not be compatible. However, if another mod does not change any of the same files then it should be ok to use. If unsure feel free to ask and we will take a look.

****MAJOR MAGIC OVERHAUL **** 

Overall magic in our mod is much more powerful. This power comes at a price however. The specific changes are:

Every spell, both standard and overcast, have a miscast chance. This chance is directly proportional to the power of the spell.

There is now a chain of promotions available to wizard hero’s/lords which reduce miscast chance, add to the starting mana pool and allow the caster to successful cast (still with some risk) the harder spells. Certain powerful character will already start with an advantage here.

The winds of magic will appear in much larger reserves in your battles, but trickle in at a much slower rate. There is also a promotion called Arcane Conduit, which when taken gives the caster the ability to increase the rate at which mana is recharged. This ability compounds, so having multiple casters using it at the same time is entirely feasible (and encouraged).

Miscast has been totally revamped. Now there are 6 levels of miscast, with the spells power determining just how severe the miscast will be. Expect dire results if you fail to overcast the top tier spells. You have been warned!!!

# Slower paced battles. Unit speed and animations have been adjusted to real world equivalents. 
# More immersion (where possible.) Skills, better item stats etc. 
# Human nations that have humans that are more realistic, such as heroes who cant fight an orc warboss one on one but greater technology to rely on. 
# Orcs that should be feared but can be tricked or frightened themselves. Black Orcs are some of the best units in the game. 
# Vampire counts with hordes of mindless slow undead, easily gathered and easily maintained. Vampires that are super strong, super fast, and know magic. With a high upkeep. Undead suffer no fatigue. 
# Chaos that has terrifying monsters and very hardy infantry. Archaon should be the most powerful single character in the game now after getting all his quest loot 
# Dragons are POWERFUL 
# Monsters are generally more powerful but the baseline units of every factions are reduced in price. 
# Guns are very powerful now, though slow to fire and not very accurate. all firearm and artillery ranges adjusted. 
# Almost every stat changed in some way to afford more realism.

No, all work is free, and we allow any other modder to freely use our content. The pateron system HAS NOT helped the modding community.

Oh there will and getting towards is, an update. We have spent the last month working very hard, and are releaseing a test units pak tommorrow. Full mod is still a little way off, but not for lack of trying.

They said on the discord that they were around 60ish% through, but the update will be going for the Mortal Empires campaign in TWW2.
