Suppression Weapon Condition

Description
Allows you to configure what weapons are allowed to Suppressive Fire and those who cannot. In the base game, there is no discrimination between weapons because only grenadiers can use Suppressive Fire, and aliens don't check weapons at all.

Secondary Weapons are NOT supported (Pistols or custom weapons).

-= CUSTOMIZE =-

There is a full list of weapons supported in this mod's config INI file.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\268500\696296141\Config\XComAllowedWeaponList.ini

By default, includes all Aliens that could already Suppress (MEC/Muton), all ADVENT weaponry and all XCOM Rifles, SMGs and Cannons. So if you install this and don't do anything, it's just going to block Snipers and Shotguns (and the Harpoon Gun of course).

-= USAGE =-

This mod is useless if you did not allow other classes to get Suppression Fire.

-= PREREQUISITES =-

This mod requires the animation fix from -bg-, which you can find on the right panel.

-= COMPATIBILITY =-

Injects a new condition into the Suppression ability, and the condition is completely new, so there should be no problems. Like i said above, if you run into problems just remove this, and the original behavior is restored.

HOWEVER, any mod that adds custom weapons needs to be added to the INI file! Custom weapons are not supported by myself, ask your favorite mod's author what are the weapon template names.

V1.1

Added the Long War SMG since the pack is very popular.

V1.2

Simplified INI file, the difficulty names are added at runtime instead of the INI file.

V1.3 DLC3

Added all of the DLC3 weapons by default. You'll have to re-add your custom weapons, sorry.

V1.4 Alien LW Pack

All Alien Pack content that can potentially suppress has been added.

-= LW2 COMPATIBILITY =-

If it works with the Alien Pack, it probably works with LW2. However, the Coil Gun probably needs to be added manually. So it's not compatible 100% out of the box, you have to work for it.

Not using that one; I have my VM fix covered by .ini edits.

I'm still fiddling around with files and all; I cannot even launch a new game for some reason...

Am not using *any* weapon packs. I'm toting the vanilla Cannon and there's no Suppression available.

@Ser Lancelot It works. As can be seen on this screenshot, with only this mod enabled. I can't support all weapon packs, you have to implement those yourself in the INI file.

Oh, boy, coming back to you again...Suppression is being grayed out on my Grenadiers...but they are toting Cannons and I checked your file, it's one of the allowed weapons. Help?

@kregano Your template names look correct, add them to the INI file and see if it works.
