E.J.E.C.T. (no mods)

Description
NO MODS / SURVIVAL SPECIAL

Don’t like surviving out of a lander? Then E.J.E.C.T. to space! Use this blueprint to convert your planetary junker into a TWO STAGE ROCKET that can leave the planet and hold everything you need to start a base in space. The only other resource you need is some ice.

E.J.E.C.T. - Earth Jettison and Evacuation Conversion Transport

FEATURES:
> Builds completely from parts scavenged off the lander and fuels with ice.
> Works in 1x survival or any other inventory mode.
> Auto-EJECT will control rocket launch and throttle all the way to space.

CAUTION: EJECT is a one shot deal in survival. You should experiment with the controls before trying it online. Maybe even a full build in single player survival.

REALISTIC MODE:
For the best ride (not online) make sure the world you are playing in is set to Realistic inventory mode, survival or creative. Rocket has to work harder under more realistic load conditions.

--------------- INSTRUCTIONS FOR SURVIVAL ---------------

HOW TO BUILD EJECT:
> Land your lander near a lake or snow for mining ice.
+ You'll have to scavenge parts off the lander. Door, conveyors, thrusters, etc.
+ DONT GRIND THE RAMP, med bay, oxygen generator, etc.
> Start a new small ship on some level ground.
> Place a single block on top of the new landing gear.
> Place a small reactor on the side of that.
> Place a projector on the top FACING UP.
> Align the projection with the projector. (HINT: H -2 : V -5 : F -18)
> Transfer the uranium and reactor components ASAP. DO NOT LOSE
> When ship is finished grind off the initial landing gear.
> Then grind off all other temp blocks.

AFTER EJECT IS FINISHED:
> Mine ice and keep both oxygen generators running until hydrogen tanks are full.
> Grind down the rest of the lander items and load them into the cargo box.
> Double check the PRE-LAUNCH CHECKLIST near the cockpit.
> Press button #1 to Auto-EJECT and kick back and enjoy the ride to space.
> GPS your location as soon as you get to space and build a med bay ASAP.

--------------- INSTRUCTIONS FOR CREATIVE ---------------

> Place this blueprint on the ground facing up.
> Delete the red temporary blocks marked with the LCD.
> Hop in the cockpit and press #1 to Auto-EJECT to space.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

ROCKET CONTROLS:
#1 Auto-EJECT - Start Automatic Launch (shuts off after space is reached)
#2 Main Hydrogen Thruster - On/Off
#3 Main Hydrogen Thruster - Decrease Thrust
#4 Main Hydrogen Thruster - Increase Thrust
#5 Hydrogen Thrust Boosters - On/Off
#6 Antenna - On/Off
#7 Backward Dampening Thruster - On/Off
#8 Merge Blocks - OFF (Drop Stage 1 Thrusters)
#9 Atmospheric Thrusters - On/Off (START MANUAL LAUNCH)

Toolbar 2 - #1 will turn off the automatic launch control system.

@hanginout Oh nice great job! Thanks for the info :)

@CrashPilot this bp is still viable! I use it whenever I start on a multiplayer server by swapping the reactor for a hydrogen engine, and build a battery on either side of the atmo thrusters. As soon as I'm out of gravity I build the survival kit and find a spot to scout asteroids. When I have base down, I convert E.J.E.C.T. into my early miner.

@Ace Yeah this is an out-dated blue print. There was never any uranium on planets but you used to land in a large grid lander with a small reactor. Now changed to pods. You can swap out the reactor for a battery and I think it will work.

No point building the original when planets no longer spawn uranium.

@SpaceC it is also possible to build the original but you'll be hunting meteorites for the reactor metals and uranium

@Panda - Thanks for the info. I have been meaning to re config and do some testing but never got around to it. Have Fun !

This is still usable on an earth start, just built a little later. Swap reactor for two batteries, a hydrogen engine fits nice on the underside but loses its sleekness.

I've noticed this doesn't work anymore, and am quite sad.
Being able to convert the pod was nice, but alas isn't possible anymore.

But I still noticed that the ship just doesn't make it to space using the autolaunch. Am I doing something wrong or is it just not powerful enough anymore?

Thankfully though, crashing nose first saves all the important parts in my creative tests (with dampeners on. Not sure if they made a difference though lol).

I do hate the new pods, for awhile they always exploded. But that got fixed. But now, they're still shit....ruins the fun of planets if you can't *do* anything for 1 - 2 days.

This ship also contained all the items onboard the original ship needed to start your base. Medbay, refinery, assembler, etc. The new start pods can never compare and now it takes hours or days to achieve a simple starting base.

@Fish - Yeah sorry you were just replying to R4d6 cuz I never did. Nice job making it to space with the start pod. I was almost going to update this mod with a start pod conversion but it just sucks I think.
