Description
This test is a remake of one of my old tests, Pure Logic, and this redesign incorporates more modern design sensibilities. The solution is pretty much the same, but it should now be much less fiddly and frustrating. :)

If you've never played Pure Logic, then this is a brand new test! If you have played Pure Logic, play this anyway, because you've probably forgotten the solution. I know I did...

If you run into any problems/cheats/exploits, let me know!

Playthrough (can't really call this a blindrun in any sense of the word, the puzzle's basically the same and I'd played the original map a few times not long before the time of this recording)
Never downloaded this either for some reason. It’s interesting to look back and see your now-ancient attempts at reworking your very first puzzles, comparing how much you’d matured as a mapmaker then to how mature you are now!

Though I understand the rationale for some of the changes, I can’t really say many of them aged well, to be honest. I prefer the more compact style of the original, and also preferred the faith plate to the piston (I suppose it makes execution slightly easier, but not by very much - you could hardly call the original maneuver “ninja” at all.) I also quite liked how activating the laser closed the door itself, that was one of my favorite details in the original because you rarely see maps that close doors when a test element is activated :P but here we just have… two lasers. Same concept, but not quite as cool in my opinion.

The one change I DID like was that you put grates on the side of the lane where the bridge eventually runs through. Makes working with the lasers a LOT easier. (Though, these days in BEE2 I believe you can turn off laser collision anyways.)

The puzzle itself is still great, of course. So I won’t harp on it too much, especially given this rework was published 8 years ago and you’ve arguably matured much more as a mapmaker from then until now, as compared to when you first started to when you made this. :)

Difficulty: 6.25/10
Design: 8/10
Enjoyed: 6.75/10

Way more forgiving version.
This time I didn't use the "grab the cube through the fizzler" solution.

Thank you so much for the "cube on bridge that I need to get around without moving it" area. Maps without such a feature are such a pain and said pain has nothing to do with solving the mystery

Actually this is still a brand new test, and it is easier both in logic and frustration, it only took me about 10 mins to figure this one out. Played unintended without the use of Faith Plate since you are accomplished mapper this is likely unintended not Red Herring but no cheese nor ninja, others know I can't even pull those off if called for.

Hint: hard part is the beginning portion, after figuring it out the rest can be autopilot through; the original cannot be done that way but that is b/c the shortcoming of original.
respawn the cube is part of solution.
no Faith Plate implies... yeah that is it.
non-cardinal direction is needed for lasering.

The wall on the middle room was unnecessary, along with the lift and the first floor wall too, at least on my solution.

I appreciate some changes that as you said made the test easier to execute but I still prefer the original since small chambers generally don't need you running around to figure out the solution, and the final design tends to be better. Also, I fell less forgiving on myself when I can't solve a small room test haha, which is why I tend to appreciate more those, since I feel like it's harder to make more challenging tests on small rooms.

Pretty straightforward. I had to disable player collision with lasers because otherwise I kept falling off the light bridge. Not as good as your other maps but not bad either.

Pretty clever. I think I stumbled my way through.

I liked this version a lot better than the others. Good work!
