Halberdiers stop all charges

Description
Description
Instead of just stoping big unit charges, they also stop man-sized unit charges.


Activation
Enable ''out of date mods'' in the game launcher Mod Manager in order to activate this mod.

Compatibility issue
This mod should prove incompatible with any other mod that alters Halberdiers (at all).


Notes
  • Might look cheesy but letting troops stand and brass is a bit controverial since infantry almost entirely disregard bracing.
    With this mod I am hoping to give Halberdiers enough halting power for standing their ground in formation.
    Which should overall be reminescent of previous TW entries.
    Still, there are enough doors to make this mod looks ''weak'', because of the way units mass, charge and bracing are tied: formations tend to get disrupt after the first charge which opens the door for a second wave to deal plain charge damage.
    To fully fix that from happening, a total rebalance of unit mass is required.
  • I think brass should mostly work against cav. and inf. but get disrupted by giants.
    This is very possible that I might decide to work on another mod to establish that.

A good mod that brings Halberdiers up to speed with the new WH2 update for them. Now I can actually bring them as the standard line infantry they're supposed to be instead of weird Greatsword hordes.

There is an ability icon, ''expert charge defense''.
Expert means that their anti-charge works against all size.
In the same maner than vanilla bretonian spearman / elite dwarves.

How can you tell this mod works? I can't see a "Charge Defense against all" in the unit description.

unit mass is located in "battle_entities_tables" scroll to the right, the column is titled "mass"

Thank you very much for this mod, but can you do the same to all Empire spear infantry units, just like all Bretonia spearmen have defence from any charge?
