Pistols Use Medium Range

Description
Converts all the base game pistols from SHORT range weapons to MEDIUM range weapons.

-= WHY? =-

Because if you put a close range accuracy bonus for the Shotgun, it also applies to the Pistol (and a penalty for firing from afar would also apply).

I don't want that. Pistols should behave like Rifles for range penalties.

- All 3 basic XCOM 2 pistols are affected

-= SUPPORT FOR OTHER MODS / PISTOLS? =-

V2.0 Expanded support for 3rd party pistols and customization for the basic pistols. You can specify the pistol name and then assign any of the regular ranges in the game, plus ONE custom range you can define in the INI file!

-= COMPATIBILITY =-

No overrides. Changes only 1 variable in each pistol template.

-= LW2 COMPATIBILITY =-

The mod is compatible somewhat, but I recommend it ONLY for the vanilla game. Avoid due to balancing.

-= ALIEN HUNTERS COMPATIBILITY =-

They fixed the gun ranges in the DLC2 so you can use this to make the Shadowkeeper a Medium range gun again.

-= TROUBLESHOOTING /LOGGING =-

I implemented extensive logging capabilities for this mod. If you have any problems, go to the LAUNCH.LOG file after exiting the game, look for "PUMR" and then read it from up to down. You will see all steps. If something looks fishy, take the text and show it to me.

is that correct or i have to add every weapon tech for the shadowkeeper? the others two are from alternate weapon tech an LW laser pack, but those just add one weapon tech each, so i would greatly thanks if you can help me, and awesome work thanks for that too.

It will mod anything you feed it, so yes it does. Just give it the proper template names if they have changed.

I like the premise behind this mod: pistols shoudl not have the strengths and weaknesses of a shotgun with scattering at vrious ranges. I wonder though if it may be a little op by giving pistols the range accuracy of rifles. Would it be possible to make a custom range table for pistols only? It could be a bit more accurate than a rifle at short ranges (not as accurate as the shotgun) but begin to develop penealties at longer ranges (not as bad as the shotgun). What do you think?
