You might be surprised how many dumb ways I tried to get the cube up where I needed it. It looks like *maybe* 1 out of every 100 times, a lucky player can launch the cube up by dropping it into the pit and then doing a trick shot with his portals . But I got lucky, and your solution was much more elegant.
Compared to what I had been trying, it was a slam dunk ! :-)
Landing on the glass was surprisingly finicky. If you want to avoid that, maybe just put a portalable wall above the glass somewhere. When the player gets high enough, he can shoot a portal at it, fall one last time, then fly out up where he wants to be.
Can you try my level, "East-West Hopscotch":

It's my first level, but well-tested, in solid shape, and, I think fun / clever.
Thanks.
[SPOILERS] Flinging with the cube, and later landing on the glass could use a bit of polish. Otherwise, awesome!
Again, I feel that once you know what to do, everything else is a piece of cake.
I think this map should act as a introduction to the fling yourself with the cube concept, which would be more thoroughly explored in another map.
And last, trying to land on the glass after the vertical fling , is a bit tricky. I currently don't have a proper suggestion on how to improve it, perhaps lowering the glass? Or making the fling higher so that you have more air time to move around? I don't really know, just try to make it less dependent on timing and skill...
And I think that's all.
I feel that once you find out what needs to be done, it is a fairly simple map. Before that... heh...
I overcomplicated my initial approach which frustrated me until I sv_cheated myself to the end of the map xD. On my first run, I tried to fling the cube using the angled panel in its original position. I got frustrated. Then, a few days later, I tried again, this time (without any hope) I flinged myself with the cube... and made it . My original thought was "REALLY?!"...
[LOL, comment exceeded 1000 characters. Will continue on a second post]
