(2 - 8) Barashka

Description
Operation Zitadelle July 5, 1943… After the third battle of Charkow, the Germans regained the initiative. The Plan: A two pronged attack on Kursk to encircle and annihilate all Russian troops in the salient. The Germans, in the northern prong, crossed the Oka at the little village of Barashka, at the beginning of the battle. During the fighting the village was completely destroyed. It was never to be rebuilt. A place, drenched in the blood of fallen heroes who fought and died for their countries survival. One side can‘t retreat, the other won‘t surrender. This map is inspired by the Red Orchestra 2 map Barashka.

Interesting assesment. Thank you. The vehicles are on the map because the Red Orchestra map has the wrecks there too. Of course they have no major impact on the fighting in that game. I can change that for better balance.

Out of curiosity. Was the inclusion of wrecked vehicles and artillery intentional?
OKW can perform salvage operations on both sides, and if they start in Player 1-4 slots, there are about 5-6 wreckages that they can salvage for a significant boost of 25-30 fuel whilst they cap the early control points.
Hard to say if it "throws off the balance" but the additional fuel allows the OKW player to rapidly tech up for a Mechanized regiment and put out a Luchs tank so fast that it can get deployed within less than 7 minutes of the match starting.
The OKW player can let team mates focus on capping and taking the points while he has 2 Sturms going about salvaging the left side of the area, and if he wanted to, he could get about 15-20 more fuel for salvaging the wrecks on the right side of spots 1-4 on the map.

If you zoom the minimap, the map doesn't line up with the mouse movement anymore. So you end up being somewhere else on the map then you are on the minimap. If it doesn't line up anymore the minimap gets useless. COH2 isn't made for big size maps like mine.

Great map ! My ONLY criticism (shows how great it is !) is that the full size mini map is too small and needs to be zoomed a bit.
