Interesting assesment. Thank you. The vehicles are on the map because the Red Orchestra map has the wrecks there too. Of course they have no major impact on the fighting in that game. I can change that for better balance.

Out of curiosity. Was the inclusion of wrecked vehicles and artillery intentional?
OKW can perform salvage operations on both sides, and if they start in Player 1-4 slots, there are about 5-6 wreckages that they can salvage for a significant boost of 25-30 fuel whilst they cap the early control points.
Hard to say if it "throws off the balance" but the additional fuel allows the OKW player to rapidly tech up for a Mechanized regiment and put out a Luchs tank so fast that it can get deployed within less than 7 minutes of the match starting.
The OKW player can let team mates focus on capping and taking the points while he has 2 Sturms going about salvaging the left side of the area, and if he wanted to, he could get about 15-20 more fuel for salvaging the wrecks on the right side of spots 1-4 on the map.

If you zoom the minimap, the map doesn't line up with the mouse movement anymore. So you end up being somewhere else on the map then you are on the minimap. If it doesn't line up anymore the minimap gets useless. COH2 isn't made for big size maps like mine.

Great map ! My ONLY criticism (shows how great it is !) is that the full size mini map is too small and needs to be zoomed a bit.

My fav of the maps you have realeased. the river divied in the middle is a perfect no mans land. and the amount of fall back postions is why i love these RO 2 maps you make. The tench networks are another great thing.

However, it's really awkward driving the larger tanks through the water onto the middle island, might just be because there was some dropped equipment on the side of the crossable lane. A Cromwell could cross, but not a Comet. Might just be a fluke, only had time for one game so can't say for sure how common it will be.

Nah they don't influence the gameplay it just irks me as an ex military man xD My friend also lol. But no, it doesn't really affect how you play the game. Thanks for the change btw.

I know the wall/trench combo doesn't make so much sense. But they are this way in the original Red Orchestra 2 map and in late game the trenches are still there for infantry protection. So, I would like to keep them because of that. If they have a negative impact on gameplay they have to be altered of course. Enjoy playing and thanks again for the feedback. :)

I just did a game vs AI and it felt much improved. Tonight I'm going to do a few with a friend who also really liked the map but pointed out the wonky trenches too. The only thing that did make me think though was that some trenches are dug behind stone walls which kind of makes them less useful because you couldn't see over the stone walls anyway. Might also be worth taking a look at, since there wasn't much use to go into the trench if there was already a stone wall just in front of it ;)

What I really like about the map is that it does feel like a long battle line on each side of the river.

This map is much fun, BUT, those trenches around the river really makes it awkward to move around with both tanks and infantry. Perhaps split them up into shorter ones that you can drive a tank inbetween in a few places?

I don't have any kind of idea about balancing this map, sorry... The matter is that, playing brits, I landed a plane on the right side of the map and wasn't able to use it because it was " out of territory "... Then I realised that whatever faction U play U cannot build anything inside this right side area... (0_0) U can see on the tactical map that nobody own it... It's the very 1st time I see this in this game... even in others converted from vanila CoH maps... (0_0)

1. Mapsize/Accessability: I needed to limit the access from which the enemy can attack. If the center of the front consists of to much open terrain, Players loose sight of the enemy attacks. The viewport can not sufficiently zoomed out to have a clear sight of the whole front. Thats why I sacrificed the right side of the map and channeled the attacks to the center.

2. Terrain balance. The right side of the map isn't in any way equal on both sides of the river. To fight on one side would give one Team a significant disatvantage/advantage over the opponent. Of course it's never 100 % equal, especially not on remade maps from ROH2 but I try to make it fair for everybody. And the right side isn't fair if I make players fight for it.

@Silvercat: I know what mean. I was thinking a lot about the layout of the voronoi. This is the biggest challange with recreated maps. The map is already there and I can't change a lot to balance it and keep the recognizable affect alive. The right side fall victim to this reasons.
