Description
Second Wave Remastered: SPARK Potential.

A quick variant of the Vanilla SWR Hidden Potential Mod that randomizes SPARK unit development.

***Notes*** WotC version is live. The new DLC changes enough that this version is not compatible. Head on over to the WotC version if you have the DLC. Link: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1125936602

Heavily recommended to be used with SWR: Alien Range Bonus, since by using the classic values of the XCOM MEC, the aim of XCOM 2 SPARKS have a median up to +10 higher, which the Range Bonus can compensates for.

The randomized StatCap was raised to 150, which no unit can traditionally reach. 150 shouldn't be too intrusive, but if it is, it can be raised again.

Relevant Modifications were done in XComClassData.ini.

Optional SPARK Aim: 1-5 Aim per level. (Same as the MEC from EW)
Since health doesn’t normally increase for the SPARK units, only aim is randomized.
Works with all SWR Mods.

Almost forgot this one! There’s now a WotC version of this mod. Those of you who enjoy Randomized Sparks, feel free to head over and add that functionality to your Hidden Potential experience!

LWS mods are very inconsiderate of other mods. Honestly I think if they didn't have a good reputation very few people would have ever used their mods.

@kairoradeus:
Dear Mr., i had the exact same problem as you. I did the DLC-Mission again without any SPARK-Mod and leveled him up once before i installed the mod and everithing worked perfectly fine I even customized the numbers. Maybe the information is helpful for you!

Just a note I'd like to add, this SWR mod does not play well with the new LW perk tree XD because it adds a brigadier rank after colonel, it -really- doesnt like that and fucks up the spark ranks entirely. Deactivating the mod fixed it but meeeeeeh, I hope LWS makes a Spark patch or extension to their perk tree, I liked having my sparks become better! Especially with the cabal voice pack, so badass.

I dont mind restarting a campaign, im only at predator armor and first mag upgrade XD plus I enjoy starting over sometimes, get new soldiers from my pool and newbies, new situations, etc etc. I'll probably do some testing tomorrow and this weekend.

@kairoradeus Well, a similar problem occured for all Hidden Potential mods on the workshop back during Alien Hunter's release, and after the fix was made, everything went back to normal and a new campaign wasn't required.

However, that's still not a guaruntee. After all, it's actually modifying the settings of the game after they've been modified by the DLC, rather than just the basic settings. Also, If changes were made to the units using broken settings, that too may propogate to cause more issues even with the correct settings later on. It's hard to tell. I don't want to make you restart another campaign, but it may be the best (and only) way to accurately test the issue.

I'll try your solutions and yeah I did double check the SWR option, I unsuscribed and re-suscribed after a good ten minutes, giving time to steam to see I had removed it. I will try to verify the file cache option and if that doesnt work out, remove config folder and verify cache again.

Is it possible it will work correctly only in a new campaign? Or will it work just fine on a existing one?

@kairoradeus Hey! Everything should be working. I've run a dozen Sparks up to Colonel with console commands, with SWR mods on and off, all of which provided expected results. I double checked the code so that it was mostly a 1-to-1 with the original it's replacing. I also just did a quick check to make sure it was still working, and I had two more sparks successfully reach colonel. This time around it shouldn't be the mod.

I have to ask, did you make sure to fully reset the other hidden potential mod? Double checking to make sure that everything went back to standard (with the spark section commented out)? If you did, was this the already damaged SPARK from before? It could be a preexisting condition the new settings weren't able to fully fix...

As an option, you could move your config folder out of XComGame (to the desktop as a backup) and then have steam verify local files, which will force the game itself back to a vanilla state. As always, let me know how everything goes!

so, a weird problem cropped up XD the skill tree is all weird now, it is like... the first two rank were pushed down after colonel and the rest went up? I took a screen to better explain, you'll see.

I know im mostly the only one asking for the Spark Hidden Potential stuff but hey, what we learn about the Spark might help others! ^^
