TF Nightclub: Game of Drones

Joint Syndikat-CSAT operations threaten Tanoa. An 8-man CTRG fireteam, equipped with UAV modules and supported by 3 Greyhawks armed with experimental 30mm cannons, spearhead a NATO operation to push back against that threat.

I am extremely excited to bring this scenario to the workshop. It is the fruit of many hour's labor and much better playtested and planned than most of my missions. With some (by my standards) clever scripting know-how, I have brought the AC130 to ArmA3 in the form of a Greyhawk drone, no mods or additional downloads required.

These 3 super-Greyhawks (Reaper 1, 2, and 3) fly completely autonomously on loiter waypoints placed around the AO. Despite being able to fly themselves, they require players to operate their turrets, lasing targets and blowing them the hell up. I recommend watching this tutorial if you are not familiar with UAV operation https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=80cG3r6Slws It's what taught me how to make UAVs actually useful, and why I'm so excited to start including them in my missions.

I think Singleplayer is where this scenario really shines: The UAVs are crucial to completing the mission, as CSAT simply has more tanks, APCs, LSVs, and Syndikat meatshields to survive the scenario without successful bombing runs.

That being said, one player can only control one UAV at a time; with three players, all three Reapers can neutralize the entire CSAT armor presence in seconds, which is a more accurate representation of the fearsome power of drone warfare.

Multiplayer also features unlimited respawns, so it is a far less difficult experience if for no other reason than the total lack of ability to fail.

Because the scenario is meant for 3+ players, it features no auto saves; if you play alone, please remember to save often!

Also, the Grehawks can be pretty hit or miss. Literally. I don't know what all the circumstances are, but sometimes the ATGMs seem to fly out of the wrong side of the UAV, fly at a weird angle, drop straight into the ground, or otherwise home in on random buildings and trees, which is why (in total) NATO has 36 ATGMs at its disposal. Please be patient. :)
