Description
This mod replaces the the current Frigate ship to a Galleass.

The galleass were ships developed from large merchant galleys. Converted for military use they were higher, larger and slower than regular ("light") galleys. They had up to 32 oars, each worked by up to 5 men. They usually had three masts and a forecastle and aftcastle. Much effort was made in Venice to make these galleasses as fast as possible to compete with regular galleys. They were used at the Battle of Lepanto in 1571, their firepower helping to win victory for the Holy League fleet and preventing the Ottomans to push further on into Europe.

If you want to keep your normal windward username (for multiplayer aswell) instead an username only for mods or keep the Frigate instead of replacing it, you can add the Galleass as a new ship.
Just follow the steps below:

1.Copy the Frigate.bytes file In Steam\SteamApps\workshop\content. Then make a new folder in "My Documents/Windward" folder and call it Ships, put the Frigate.bytes in there, rename it to Galleass.bytes and put a txt file in the Ships folder as well with the text from here http://textuploader.com/5iwmg . (copy it) and name it Galleass.txt .

2. After that you start the game, unable mod Galleass (if you don't have any mods selected it will still work in vanilla), open your server, typ: /upload Ships/Galleass.bytes and then typ /set Ships/Galleass.txt.
If you followed these steps it would keep both ships in-game. I couldn't make a mod that just does this straight away. Please send me a comment with any questions or if you have a server with the ship installed because I like playing online.
Have fun with it and a rating is much appreciated!

Kind regards,
Thunder-Invader/Commodore Agalorn/Capitan Marùbio

Like the server I'm hosting - they are additional craft to the originals.

your using them to replace existing ships, i prefer to just add more ships overall. the tiers i mean are like small, medium. large, capital ships. ect

You don't have to make it into mods to add more ships to a server. You can simply add the models to the game like I have written in my description. I'm not sure what you mean by new tiers. And sure you can use them.

Would you be okay with me using these models for your ships on my server mod, aslong as i give you credit for the creation? trying to make an overhaul mod. adding lots of ships, new tiers of ship ect

Good news Thunder - I'll take a look at the updated models!

For the people that already placed this ship on their servers as a new ship. I updated the mod so that there won't be any errors while getting hit by AOE attacks. Therefore you have to follow the steps to add the ship to the world again. The people that use the mod to replace the frigate don't have to do anything since it automatically updates for those people.

I did not change any of these though. possibly something else. The only thing I changed was the wind effect curve.

Still getting at least the PoisonEffect error with this updated model :(

Also - although it may be fixed by whatever you've updated - I've been trying to pin down some of the errors I get with custom ships.

I appear to be getting these ones since adding the Galleass. It's difficult to validate the testing from my end with the logging available to me: -

NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object
DamageAOE.TickEffect (.GameUnit target)
AreaEffect.OnUpdate (Boolean alphaChanged)
DamageAOE.OnUpdate (Boolean alphaChanged)
Effect.Update ()

NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object
PoisonEffect.TickEffect (.GameUnit target)
AreaEffect.OnUpdate (Boolean alphaChanged)
Effect.Update ()
