Description
From the Diary of Edgar Allan Poe - February 8th, 1831

I have come to realize I find myself not an employee but a prisoner, and Master Johnson is its warden. One would have thought it quit apparent after almost four year of living here and never being allowed to leave the premises. Plus there is not a solitary window in the place. Alas the truth eluded me until now.

I even tried to get myself discharged with my latest chamber. I added in some unauthorized turrets and created a city surrounded by goo. There was even a large laser barrier at the top to cause bodily harm. Master Johnson saw my creation and was elated. He even assigned my friend Lester to be the first tester to traverse it. Lester almost made it, but unfortunately wondered a bit too close to the laser barrier and his test suit erupted in flames. Seems the suits were made of polyester treated with a flame retardant that actually turned out to be an accelerant.

“Oh well, let’s make sure they use the right stuff in the next batch of suits.” That was all Master Johnson had to say about it.

"An error occured while downloading this map!"
Mevious and Zogor experienced this before. The problem relates to some maps released in 2012. Reuploading fixed the issue.

I enjoyed that map. good little puzzle n that. I would love it if you would try some of my maps here would not say it was a hard map but the design was very good XD

Good map. The turrets are annoying not knowing they are there until you're getting shot, but it was intuitive after the first two that each level would have one to deal with. Liked it. Difficulty 5/10 Design 7/10

If you time it perfectly, you're actually able to get the last turret to go into search mode and then go back to standby, but there's a pretty large time period right after it "deactivates" search mode when it won't actually react. This left just enough time for me in my playthrough to shoot up to the top and take the turret out with absolutely no portals or other objects involved. It's doable, but extremely hard and relies a lot on luck.

Thanks Erock. Will add one of your maps to my queue. As far as the last turret, I am okay with any of the ways to get passed it. I'll let the player decide what works best. To me, I originally sent the cube through first to knock the turret over, but now I prefer jumping over with the cube in hand and taking the turret out.

Yep just retested, can chuck other turrets or the cube through the top portal and knock over the top turret. Not sure which is the glitch and which is the solve but there are at least 3 ways to kill the top turret.

I liked the map! Layout is good, although the momentum area and top portalable area can be glitched around by using the cube to block the last turret. As someone else pointed out, using the cube seemed like a glitch compared to the momentum slove which LOOKS like the correct way to do it. I also tried tossing the cube with momentum and felt like with enough tries could have knocked the turret over. The end solve of hitting the button and launching over felt a bit too easy, perhaps make the portalable surface to get momentum through farther away or trickier to get to? Good map though, nice looks and fun to play overall. #F4F please!

Leonhard - Thanks, for the comments. It is actually a 4 star, I have noticed there is something screwy with steam and half the time it shows an old version of the page when the map had less than 30 ratings. As far as the last bit, I changed things a bit since I made the vide, and theway you did it is now the preffered way. I should probably update thevideo. :)

Watching your video on "intended cube usage", using the cube to attack the last turret seems nonintuitive and feels more like a hack compared to my approach of using velocity of my body alone to attack the turret (picking it up before it has a chance to respond).
Also, I honestly had no idea there was a cube until I reached the switch on top.

Not sure why this is just a 3. It's pretty good. Nice mix of puzzling, exploring for cube, and precision action.
Sure, I died several times, but that didn't detract from it. (Albeit I *am* a fan of Meat Boy)
