Automated Military Construction

Description
Builds military for you when you have less than the amount you desire, at a reasonable cost and rate.

Reddit Post: https://www.reddit.com/r/Stellaris/comments/513vcn/mod_release_automated_military_construction/
(I'm more likely to answer questions there.)

This mod adds an edict called "Automated Military Construction"
Select it and you will be able to select a desired number of each ship size.
While you have less than the desired number of any ship size, ships of that type will be built for you at a (hopefully) realistic cost and on a (hopefully) realistic timescale.

FAQ:
Q: What ship classes are used?
A: Random ship classes the player has. I'm looking into ways of picking which.

TO DO:
Hard: Add ships to spaceport queue rather than have them magically appear.
Hard: Allow choice of ship class.

DONE:
Easy: Allow the player to pick a minimum number of minerals so it doesn't use all of theirs.
Easy: You now require the correct spaceport level tech for each ship type.
Easy: Ships are now constructed more gradually (one regularly rather than loads all at once)
Easy: Construction times based off of number of spaceports rather than number of planets.
Medium: Construction times for each ship size now based of number of spaceports capable of building that size.
Medium: Ships now group when they are made
Easy: Fixed a bug where ships larger than destroyer would get destroyed during merging.
Medium: Added a gui on the policy/edict screen
Medium: Now calculates a much more realistic (and variable) ship cost.

COMPATABILITY:
Won't be compatable with anything that modifies the 'government_view.gui' file.

If only this was a recent thing, this is neat.

Very cool concept! I will be keeping an eye on this one for installation later :)

The current version of this mod freezes out the Government screen. Can you post a fix?

Also, I'm trying to understand this mod. So this mod makes ships it constructs to suddenly appear at the homeworld as part of an Automated named fleet. Assuming I don't queue anything in my spaceports to cheat, does this mod take into account the number of spaceports, build times, and current prices for designs?

Can you update for Heinlein? Mod works fine in Heinlein, but game says its not compatible on startup.
Darrien 1 Nov, 2016 @ 5:21pm
Do any changes in Heinlein allow you to make it to where picking the design was possible?

Ah, okay. Well, thanks for the mod anyway! Its a huge help!

I don't think that's even possible, you (the modder) are only able to choose a random one or the most recently created one :/

Reading the FAQ.. Its random I see. If I have 3 ship classes of the same size, could it pick them in some kind of order instead? I know it's not in there yet, but would you be able to code that?
