Halo 3 NPC SWEPS

Description
Halo 3's weaponry now in Garry's Mod ... for NPCs

Updated along with the player weapons for the most detailed Halo NPC weapons yet..

Absolutely no bases of any kind required, only my player weapons pack.

Unlike other NPC weapon packs...
• NPC's will not fire the weapons when performing almost all actions that don't permit it, they will not shoot if lit on fire and doing the animation, manning a mounted gun, when running from damage etc.
• All weapons have their respective reload sounds!
• NPC's will never try to shoot at you through non-breakable glass and props
• NPCs armed with explosives will never try to shoot at you through metal grates or fences
• All non projectile weapons will be permitted to fire through fences and metal grates
• NPCs wielding the Shotgun, Mauler, or Flamethrower will actually charge toward their enemies! ( These weapons aren't so useless anymore )
• Players and NPCs can pick up the dropped weapons and the amount in the magazine matches how many shots were fired!
• Random weapon spawn option! ( Includes Covenant and UNSC )
• Father Grigori, although not perfectly can use each and all of the weapons.
All weapons will have the words 'Halo 3' in front of the title in the Weapon Override list.

• M7 Caseless Sub-Machine Gun
• M7 SOCOM Caseless Sub-Machine Gun
• M6G Magnum
• M6C SOCOM Magnum
• M41 SNPKR Rocket Launcher
• M90 Tactical Shotgun
• S2AM Sniper Rifle
• M6 NonLinear Gallilian rifle ( Actually has to Charge up before an NPC can fire it! )
• M7057 Defoliant Projector
• Missile Pod ( When ammo is depleted NPCs will drop it and switch to a Magnum )
• Machine Gun Turret ( When ammo is depleted NPCs will drop it and switch to an Assault Rifle )
• 7-Wood/Golf Club ( New sounds, effects and damage system! )
• Type-25 Directed Energy Pistol ( Working heat display! )
• Type-25 Directed Energy Rifle ( Working heat display! )
• Type-33 Guided Munitions Launcher ( Tracking projectiles! )
• Type-51 Carbine ( Working Ammo Gauge )
• Type-33 Fuel Rod Cannon
• Type-50 Particle Beam Rifle
• Type-1 Energy Sword ( New effects and sounds! )
• Type-25 Grenade Launcher
• Sentinel Beam
• Type-2 Gravity Hammer ( New effects, sounds and damage system! )
• Plasma Cannon ( When ammo is depleted NPCs will drop it and switch to a Plasma Rifle )

-Fixed the Purple and Black explosions of Explosives

UPDATE 7/27/18
-Fixed ALL of the WEAPONS NO MORE MISSING TEXTURES
-Now requires my Halo 3 Mods to work
-Added The Mauler, Missile Pod, and Machine Gun Turret
-Removed the timer from the Spartan Lazer as it was buggy
-NPCS now drop the Player version of the respective weapon they wield

UPDATE 7/31/18
-Added the Golf Club/7-Wood

UPDATE 3/3/19/b]
-Gave the Spartan Lazer a working timer ( no effects sorry )
-The Plasma Pistol, Plasma Rifle, Needler, and Spiker now fire projectiles.

UPDATE 3/19/19
-Added The Brute Plasma Rifle (Requires my ODST Pack)
-Added Kill Icons to all SWEPS.

UPDATE 8/13/19
-Reintroduced the Spartan Lazer's timer, from now on it will work properly with no issues.
-Fixed the muzzle flash error that would occur when killing an NPC while the NPC was firing.
-Added a dynamic light to the Golf Club and Gravity Hammer.
-From now on, NPCs will no longer fire their weapon while melee attacking and firing while they are not facing you has been reduced by 50%

UPDATE 12/21/19
-Recoded the Reload Sounds, now Reload sounds will almost always play.
-Fixed an incorrect muzzle flash on the Brute Plasma Rifle.
-Completely recoded the Flamethrower, all new damages and effects.

UPDATE 12/23/19
-Fixed an error with the Flamethrower.

UPDATE 12/27/19
-Properly set combine's holdtype to shotgun when using the flamethrower.

THE FINAL MEGA UPDATE 2/5/2022
-All weapons now have distant firing sound effects ( completely clientside, works in MP )
-All weapons have now been fixed for Multiplayer, complete rework with Prediction to prevent as many lag issues as possible
-Completely reworked the Shotgun, Mauler and Flamethrower allowing NPCs to charge toward their target
-The Flamethrower can now overheat if fired too quickly
-When an NPC runs out of Flamethrower ammo, they will drop it and switch to either a shotgun or Mauler
-When an NPC runs out of Plasma Cannon ammo, they will drop it and switch to the Plasma Rifle
-Citizens will be able to pick up any of the weapons off the ground, and the ammo count in the magazine will match that which was dropped
• Disabled headshot damage for the Assault Rifle, SMG, Sentinel Beam ETC.
-Most sounds are now directly via Sound Scripts for better performance.
-Citizens will no longer try to pick up any other weapon while using a Halo 3 weapon

Is it possible to improve the behavior of NPCs with a shotgun? Combine cannot attack if you take a few steps back

Just wanted to say thank you for the work you put into making this for us. It has made Halo integrate so well with Gmod. :steamthumbsup: :gordon:

+Nope.avi Just downloaded RagShoot and took a look at it's code, looks like it's creating a fake invisible "NPC" to fire the weapon, so it may work, given the weapons use scripted schedules.

One last inquiry, will there be compatibility between this NPC Weapon addon with RagShoot? Same with your other NPC Weapons.

+Nope.avi You must have an addon conflicting, there's absolutely no issue found. I would've already recieved numerous reports of this happening if there was something wrong. Maybe addons like iNPC interfere with the default NPC behaviour?

This also happens to vanilla NPCs, even without other mods (minus the required addons for this one to work).

Hello, a bit of an issue I've noticed with NPCs is that they will shoot the guns, sometimes with no bullets and they can often be stuck in animation reloading so they would end up being useless in battle. Possible fix?
