Description
ATTENTION! I am no longer able to maintain or update my mods going into Patch 2.0. My PC has crashed and I don't know when I will be able to replace the broken parts. Furthermore, my personal life is in the middle of an important crossroads and I'm going to be focusing on reality. This means NONE of my mods will be updated further. They will remain as they are for Patch 1.9.

DISCLAIMER: If anyone wishes to maintain/update/continue this mod, they have my permission to do so with the understanding that credit must be given in the description of your updated mod to the original author. Always give credit where credit is due.

Original description follows:



This file arose out of a need to remove the compatibility events file from the main Dark Avian Shipsets (Advanced) mod due to conflict with NSC and other places. This patch makes certain (as long as you follow instructions below) that there will be no "infinite research" glitch.




If you do not have BOTH required mods listed on the right side of this mod page, do NOT download this mod.

Why? In short: without this file, Realistic Ship's Avian Heavy Dreadnought will not be available to any of the Dark Avian Shipset cultures, because the game doesn't know to give them the correct technology. If you try to use this mod patch without Dark Avian Shipsets (Advanced), it's just useless. If you try to use it without Realistic Ships, the event will not be able to give you a tech that it doesn't know exists, and thus, causing the "infinite research" bug that causes serious issues. Use both mods, and this will function perfectly; otherwise, you don't need this file patch.

Hey man, updated RS to 1.4.6 which adds support for your dark and holiday shipsets. Would appreciate it if you could test it out. Let me know if you find anything funky, thanks!

Hey, I will be updating the mod shortly. No need for additional sections, I managed another workaround. However, I would like to request if possible to redo the asset files using the updated ones from the updated RS mod. This will result in significantly less "spam" in the error.log file, especially when your mod is loaded. :) Thanks!

Hey man, just thought I'd let you know in advance.

I am doing some code housekeeping coz RS is generating a lot of nuisance messages in the error.log file. I managed to eliminate most of it but it requires the following changes for this compatibility fix/patch:

- Need to add new section templates for each dark avian HDN
- Death state for each ship class needs to be modified

The first one is required for the HDN sections to unlock properly: http://pastebin.com/1s908rgG
The second one will eliminate a lot of nuisance errors. Feel free to copy and modify the updated avian asset files once I update the main mod. I will let you know once I have updated in a day or two.

Hey, I just wanted to let you know I updated RS. A few changes to tech event scripting, support cruiser sections, and added a new electronic attack cruiser.
