HCP's Korinthos Rework: Wrath of Sparta

Description
"Unified under an oligarchical system of government, Korinthos has become rich from trade due to its geographical position, using the wealth to launch public construction projects on a large scale and forge colonies as far afield as Sicily."

Welcome to the Korinthos Rework, part of my Wrath of Sparta rework collection!

This mod overhauls the Korinthos roster and gives it more unique gameplay! Korinthos is one of the wealthiest cities in Greece, and its military innovation and splendor are on full display in their new roster. They have undergone a transformation from a generic copy/paste Greek roster to a more nuanced heavy infantry/naval one featuring marauding horsemen, powerful marines, and the most armored hoplites in Greece.

New units:

GILDED HOPLITES
: T4 barracks: What better way to display the wealth of your polis to your enemies than with their blood sprayed across your gold-trimmed breastplate?
DORIAN MARAUDERS
: T1 barracks/T2 port: The warlike Dorians reaved and pillaged through the Peloponnese at the end of the Bronze Age. Though much more sophisticated since then, they have not forgotten their despoiling heritage.
MOUNTED MARAUDERS
: T3 barracks: Forgoing armor for horses, these men can capably harry their foes and ride down dishonorable, fleeing, cowards!
LOCHOI
: T2 barracks: Representing the latest in Hellene warfare, these troops are lighter and more mobile, but no less deadly than their heavier hoplite contemporaries.
SOMATOPHYLAKES
: T4 barracks Towering shields guard tyrants, kings, generals, and anyone else who can afford these hand-picked warriors.
HIPPIKON
: T3 Barracks: Powerful, armored cavalry in service to Corinthian tyrants.
DORIAN MILITIA HOPLITES
: T1 settlement: When warring with Dorians, never underestimate even their lowliest hoplites.
CORINTHIAN HOPLITES
: T1 barracks: Doric martial tradition and Corinthian wealth combined make well-trained and well-armored Hoplites.
PELTASTS
: replace Javelinmen at Peltast Training: These javelin-armed light infantry are used to harass slower, heavier enemy units.
CORINTHIAN MARINES
: T3 barracks/military port: Axes, hoplons, and training in warfare on land and sea embody the Corinthian Marine.
CORINTHIAN MARINES (GREAT AXES)
: T4 barracks/military port: In the hands of the well trained, the axe is a terrifying weapon, on land or otherwise!
GREEK FIRE THROWERS
: T4 barracks: Clay pots of burning horrors await the enemy, just don't burn yourself!
SCORPION
: T4 range: Dominate the battlefield late game with this terrifying weapon of war!

In the name of balance, Korinthos has lost several units that it was previously able to recruit:

Hoplites
Hippeus

Notes:

- Dorian Marauders, Mounted Marauders and Militia Hoplites are available to all Dorian factions (except Sparta), and Peltasts are available to all minor factions.
- Your hoplites are more armored than their contemporaries, and will win 1v1 against all but Spartan Hoplites.
- Gilded Hoplites have lower stats than Picked Hoplites and Royal Spartans, but are cheaper, and have the best armor of any unit in the campaign. Additionally, they have access to the “Steady” ability, bringing their armor value to 122, and that’s without any upgrades!
- The Dorian and Marine units have throwable axes, which do armor-piercing damage. Throw them into their enemy’s flanks for massive damage!
Stay tuned for the next WoS roster rework!

Note: all of my mods are totally free to use, including any assets in them, as long as credit is given :) We are stronger together as a mod community. Happy modding!
