Description
This mod spreads your culture through an event after a period of time. I take inspiration from the original Spreading Culture mod made by Fabby. I wanted the same function of Fabby’s, but something a more dynamic similar to Dynamic Culture Conversion, which is why this mod exists. It's an inbetween of Fabby's simplicity, and Dynamic Culture Conversion's complexity. Feel free to give a suggestion to make this mod better, and to rate this on whether you enjoyed it or not.

About Mod:
Unlike Fabby’s original mod, this one is more dynamic with the spreading culture event. Prestige, stability, province religion and culture, humanist ideas, special modifiers, and size of country affect how long it’ll take for the event to pop up. It is not as dynamic as the Dynamic Culture Conversion mod. I didn’t like some of the features in that mod, such as “The religion of the province has to be tolerated”.

Triggers:
Culture of the province isn’t already owner's culture. Must be either in the owner's culture group, next to a province with the owner's culture, or have a port. Province must be controlled by the owner. If it’s occupied by another country, the event can not happen.

Mean Time to Happen:
Roughly within 25 years without any modifiers.

Size:
Countries smaller than 15 provinces will have the event slightly faster. It’ll take increasingly longer for countries larger than 74 provinces, This helps prevent larger countries from becoming stable too quickly. Meaning the blobs won't be as stable in the late game as what would happen with Fabby's mod. The player can enact a temporary decision to decrease the time it takes to convert provinces to help combat the increasing MTTH modifiers, though they get more expensive and last longer the bigger you get. A.I. will not use these decisions.

Province Religion and Culture:
If the province is not in the religion group of the owner, it’ll take longer. If it’s the same religion as the owner, it’ll be slightly shorter. If it’s in the same religious group, but isn’t the owners religion it doesn’t take longer, nor is it shorter.
If the province is a culture within the owner's culture group, it’ll take less time. If it’s an accepted culture, it’ll take much longer to convert. This would be because you’d be accepting how they are, and so the people will feel less pressured to conform.

If you have the Mughal government reform, the MTTH is increased very significantly by times four. The reason for this is that there is no other way at this time, that I can find, that would allow for detecting if a culture is assimilated or not. So the next best thing would be to increase to MTTH, as it's the only government reform that uses the mechanic where having a diverse group of other cultures is a major benefit rather then a neutral or negative thing.

Humanist Ideas:
Having humanist ideas makes converting provinces take longer. This is because your country would be more accepting towards different cultures and religions, so there is less pressure to conform.

Harmonization:
Having a religion harmonized will make provinces with it convert more quickly.

Stability and Prestige:
The lower your stability is the longer it’ll take to convert. It increases the time by a lot each negative stability you have. Each positive stability decreases the time it’ll take.
If you have -5 prestige or lower, it’ll take reasonably longer to convert. If you have 50 prestige or higher, it’ll decrease the amount of time it takes.

Monuments:
Provinces with a monument will take a bit longer to convert as the monuments remind the people of the greatness their culture can and has done. Specific monuments that require certain cultures to utilize them now increases the MTTH by times four as well. This should significantly reduce the time and chance of those provinces converting considering that they are required for the monuments in their places. The MTTH modifier only works for Stonehenge and Moai if they stay in their original provinces. The MTTH increase should only affect those specific provinces when you have the Leviathan DLC active, and there is also a reject button that will appear highlighted for those provinces as a final safety mechanism to prevent culture conversion if so desired.

Decisions:
  • Small Conversion Campaign - 14 provinces or less
  • Medium Conversion Campaign - 15-74 provinces
  • Large Conversion Campaign - 75-174 provinces
  • Huge Conversion Campaign - 175 provinces or more

It's just way way too fast, 25 years is too short. Should be more like 100 years mean.
And perhaps there could be a decision trigger for allowing it to happen to accepted cultures (at the cost of some unrest or something)
It doesn't really make sense for every regional culture all around the world to just get absorbed into its national primary culture. In my game around 1620, for instance, pretty much everyone in Italy is Neapolitan, everyone in Britain is English, everyone in France is Francien, etc.
Just doesn't make sense.

I like this mod, but I'd also love a version where you could target specific cultures in your country for a conversion campaign

I would like to make a suggestion, the MTTH seems fine but the cultures convert relativly fast if you have a semi-stabilized country, I would ask if it's possible to make so only provinces whitout separatism can be eligble for the MTTH.

It'll be activated for a period of time. During which the conversion event is more likely to fire. After it's done, you'll need to activate again to keep the reduced MTTH.

do i only need to do the conversion campaigns once for it to work?
