It's just way way too fast, 25 years is too short. Should be more like 100 years mean.
And perhaps there could be a decision trigger for allowing it to happen to accepted cultures (at the cost of some unrest or something)
It doesn't really make sense for every regional culture all around the world to just get absorbed into its national primary culture. In my game around 1620, for instance, pretty much everyone in Italy is Neapolitan, everyone in Britain is English, everyone in France is Francien, etc.
Just doesn't make sense.

I would like to make a suggestion, the MTTH seems fine but the cultures convert relativly fast if you have a semi-stabilized country, I would ask if it's possible to make so only provinces whitout separatism can be eligble for the MTTH.

It'll be activated for a period of time. During which the conversion event is more likely to fire. After it's done, you'll need to activate again to keep the reduced MTTH.

I appreciate your highlighting of specific issues within the structure. I've confirmed several of the issues your changes either fix or attempted to fix. I'll also be updating the list of monuments while I'm at it. Should see an update not too long from now.

Can you update this mod to work with the expanded monuments mod? There are provinces in the expanded monuments that require a culture and there is no tag on those provinces. At least it could work to have a dialogue pop up that offers the option to convert for those provinces, rather than make it more difficult - in case others don't have that mod turned on. Other than that, this mod has been great!

@j.e., Several modifiers have been added now that should solve the issue with monuments. Along with a reject button that flags the province in question if rejected. It only appears for the provinces that have monuments that require cultures however.

@Mugen, I've added a modifier for the Mughal gov reform that should greatly slow down conversion for them. Allowing them to make use of the modifiers gained from having a diverse set of cultures.

I could see a combination of increased MTTH along with a rejection option appearing for provinces that have monuments. Probably even add a flag to the province once rejected that prevents it from happening again.

Before they adjusted how the culture requirement worked, it wasn't an issue since you couldn't use them anyways, but with how it is now, it would make sense to add some modifiers to reduce the likelihood of changing the culture of a province with a monument. Just so that you can still use it for a long while before it auto converts on it's own. Maybe even have one that specifies which provinces have an increased MTTH. That way that the ones that do have the requirement are able to have their culture for much longer then if I had just made a modifier for all provinces with monuments. I'll need to look into it, but you've brought something important to my attention and I'll likely work on something to address the issue at some point. Might be a minute though being the holidays and what not.

On the MTTH, the modifier for accepted cultures is 2, which is a *200%. Basically it makes it take twice as long to pop the event on average. If it's within the same culture group, it's a 0.8, which is a *80%. Making it happen more quickly on average. If it's a culture that's accepted and in your group then it's a net increase in MTTH, but I can't say what it would be exactly as that would require me to use the games complex math algorithms to figure that out. There is no modifiers related to assimilation, as I was unaware of that function even being a thing until you mentioned it. I'll add something at some point.

This mod seems awesome. Just I would like to know how likely is it for provinces with an accepted culture to get the culture spread? Will the primary culture also spread to provinces with a differenct culture within the same culture group if the tag is a cultural union/empire ? what about assimilated cultures for mughals?

If I may make a suggestion to help improve or tweak the mod for your needs, get the direct download and edit the Spread Culture.txt file in the events folder. Under mean_time_to_happen there should be a line with years = 25. You can change that to say double to make it take twice as long or how ever many years you believe works best for you. There are modifiers below it that effect how long the event actually takes based on several factors, so if you believe that would be a better way to tweaking, then please do so. I hope this was helpful and will allow you make the changes right for you. And if you need any help, do come by and I'll see what I can do.

This is so neat, I genuinly think it's silly of Paradox to not adopt this basically as is, maybe some culture-specific adjustments or special ideas added on. What's the compatibility with other mods like? I know little about EU4 modding, but from what I gather this just adds an event, so it should be all good, right?

the weird thing about this mod is that some provinces that i just conquered get converted to my culture extremely fast, and some provinces i conquered at the beginning of the game never get converted to my culture

go to the event file for the mod and at this "hidden = yes" under "fire_only_once = no". That should make the event hidden so you don't have to see it all the time.

I am sitting right now in the messenge settings ingame. I cannot find the option for the culture change pop-up, as I dont want it to pop-up all the time. Where can it be located and what search word should I use to locate it?

The direct link is split into so that way it shows up on Steam. Otherwise it would show up as "LINK REMOVED". I've never heard of a problem involving an empty box on the mods list. I hope the problem is resolved soon.
