Sons of Grimnir - Slayer Linebreakers

Description
While most slayers happily forego armor (Ach! It slows me down! That's how ye get hit!), there is the occasional rare and unfortunate soul who choses iron skin over a quick and glorious death. These shameful beings scavenge what they can from old battlefields, and those that live a few years find they become quite competent warriors. Which further prolongs the proper explusion of their guilt.

Ungrim Ironfist, seeing these dwarves as a menace attempting to delay Valaya's judgement, assigns these outliers to the "Linebreaker" corp - tasked with smashing enemy shieldwalls to dust and fending off cavalry to allow the true slayers to find their rightful place fighting the daemons and trolls lurking behind the lines. Unlike normal slayers, the Linebreaker corp does not wander the countryside looking for monsters to slay. Instead, they train day and night in the deep places of Karak Kadrin to learn how to run and fight as a proper slayer in the armor they have refused to abandon. This exclusion from Grimnir's calling has led to Linebreakers being considered the lowliest creatures in all of Karaz Ankor.

Notes from the Creator:

These are not Lore friendly units, since slayers do not typically wear armor. Though I tried to spin it the best I could. I set out to create a vanilla balanced Slayer unit that was a little more versatile than the base model (think very slow cavalry) without being completely vulnerable to missle fire. I.E., a unit people would actually consider fielding against an army that wasn't full of trolls or giants, and thus give poor Ungrim something to do. I tried to balanced this upgrade with a high initial investment, high upkeep cost, and campaign maximum. Word has gotten out about the example Ungrim makes of the Linebreaker corp, so it's hard to find new recruits.

Currently a unit of these guys can breeze through a single troop of Orc Boyz if they get a proper charge, but grind to a halt if faced with three or more. They can go toe to toe with most elite units in it's class, but will take significant losses if sorrounded or flanked. I'm still working on the final balance, and I don't want this to be a "Super Unit" as most armored slayers I've found tend to be, so constructive feedback is appreciated.

Balance
- EXPENSIVE, but otherwise very powerful. About twice as expensive as a standard slayer troop.

Compatibility
- No known issues so far.

Art
- Original artwork credited to @conorburkeart. Check out his stuff! He's amazing!

Special Thanks To Bonzai101 and MajorSpankage for inadvertently making me curious enough to learn how to mod!

Fuzzyballs01 you're an idiot. If you didn't care you wouldn't have made such a dumb comment to begin with on a totally optional mod that isn't made for you.

considering I won't use those mods either, I don't care?

Considering folks are modding in Anime and Hello Kitty characters, I feel I have very little to explain. These units are at least semi-authentic and fit the tone of the world if not the strict lore (which less than 10% of people who play this game understand anyway).

But everyone has their own opinions. Mine just don't jive with yours, in this matter. In which case, you can just ignore this mod.

they kinda do though

@Fuzzyballs01 - Because they're expensive and hard to obtain. But mostly, because they are shameless dogs who refuse to die properly.

Also, 'cause it's a video game. And not all units have to be lore friendly :)

"These shameful beings scavenge what they can from old battlefields"
That's a grudgin'

lmao, nice big spin explanation for why its not lore friendly hahaha. Creating your OWN lore! Plagarism and copyright problems? or Brilliance? Only grimnir knows..

@o-p-k

There were no unit-breaking changes in the last few updates, but I reuploaded these packs to assuage anyone looking at dates. Is there something about these units that is not working?
