The worst part of map 3 is that there isn't really anything telling you what to do or how things work. You press the button in the Dam, and a Tank and Horde appear, and there seemingly is no way to go forward. However, then for no apparent reason a door that I checked before that looked like it was just there for decoration suddenly explodes open, revealing the way forward. In Single Player mode, this is unfeasible on any difficulty higher than Normal because the hordes are so large and the Survivor bots just can't keep up, even with Left 4 Bots 2.
I know this was an unfinished map, but I think it's worth a discussion over whether or not it should have been released in this state at all. Just because you could doesn't mean that you should. I hope the Complete and Remastered versions turn out to be better balanced.
I know this is basically just the released maps with a few tweaks to make them work properly, but I'm going to judge the product as I received it.
The current state that this campaign is in is pretty garbage. The first two maps are okay, but they go on for way longer than necessary. It doesn't help that the Survivors don't have any dialogue to say, It makes it even more boring. The third and final map is a total shitshow. It has two events that spawn simultaneous Tanks and Hordes, and in addition to that a random Witch or Tank can still spawn anywhere on the map. That means if you are unlucky, you could have to fight three Tanks before you even reach the finale. The finale is actually decent, but it feels off with how it just ends abruptly. There's nothing to protect the Survivors from everything chasing them out of the dam, so how did they escape?
"The first 2/12 maps were fun tho,"
2/12 usually means two out of twelve
Content on the workshop is usually known as "items" which is why I said that
Is English not your native language?
Nobody's arguing but you apparently
You have two comments here, but I know you've deleted others
Anyway, nobody else complained about that
Nor have I experienced that in other Dam It campaigns
Maybe something's improved with bot mods, who knows
Nothing you described is a part of this from what I remember
It's definitely not 12 maps nor does it have an insta kill door
This is why your previous comment was removed
As you claimed, it was your first item commenting?
Maybe you got confused what you downloaded
I'll give you time to clarify before deleting again
As we don't want people getting the wrong idea of this item
Sorry for the late reply! To answer your question, this was the first official port
It was simply picking up where Turtle Rock Studios left off
We ported it right into Left 4 Dead 2 from the first Left 4 Dead
Only fixing whatever we found absolutely necessary to fix back then
(Considering it's still debatable to many if anything after Last Stand fixes or breaks)
That being said, look back at my previous comments from November
You would definitely enjoy "Remastered" and "Complete"
"Akira" and "Atomic Cat" did great work with their versions
No other versions would be supported or recommended or even necessary
