Description
Hello all,

This is the more or less finalized version of the heavy excavator.

While the system can function with damaged turned on, I advise turning it OFF as Klang can sometimes have unpredictable results...

The controls are basically standard ISO controls for excavators:

To start the rig, on page 1 just Press 1

On second page:

1 - turns on/off warning lights.
2 - overide system for the ground locking landing gears
3 - Drills....
4 - Extend/retract the Bucket pistons to make it wider or narrower.
5 - Turn on the Ejectors to dump drill cargo

7 - Raise/lower the first section of cab lift
8 - Raise/lower the second section of the cab lift
9 - Tilt Cab forward and Back.

Hydraulic parts:

W-S raise and lower main boom (1st segment) W - lower, S - raise

A-D Rotate the traverse A - Left/CCW, D - right/CW

Q-E Bend toggle joint (Short segment) Q - straighten, E - Curl

R-F Move thumb (Part near bucket) R - raise, F - lower

Up - Down (arrow keys) push and pull stick (2nd segment) Up - out, Down - curl

Left - Right curl bucket Left - curl in, Right - push out


Drive System:

Left track: 7 - forward, 1 - reverse

Right Track: 9 - forward, 3 - reverse

Cruise control: 8 - forward, 2 - reverse, 5 - hold till stops.

Be aware that there is a issue with landing gears causing you to really stick to planets, even when not connected.

If you get stuck just cycle the overide system and try driving forward/back it should eventually break free.

This is a rather old legacy build, that was build before the addition of vanilla controls similar to digis control module. That is unforunate, yours is a design that really interested me since it doesn't appear to rely on programmed or timed functions.

@wang fang I really wish i could, unfortuntely this is something that keen has broken in recent patches and no amount of my skill or effort can rectify it.

I am however considering building something bigger and better (as soon as keen fixes mergeblocks and the frequent merge crashes...)

Is it possible for you to post a world with this in it? Every time I attempt to spawn one most of the rotors disconnect and the whole thing starts spinning endlessly. I'd love to examine the design in detail but it's impossible to do when its spinning and half the parts are locked inside of one another.

Very nice one , this had to be a hell of a nightmare to assemble multi interconnected parts with rotors and pistons !
