Breezehome Basement

Description
NOTE: This mod was made for the base game. It might not work with DLC.

This mod gives Breezehome a basement while keeping things balanced. The trapdoor to the basement can only be reached after purchasing the Alchemy Laboratory. The basement includes a number of items to put it on par with other playerhomes such as:

- enchantment table
- 2 storage chests
- 2 strong boxes
- 2 bookshelves that hold 12 books each
- dagger display case
- 2 slot weapon rack
- wardrobe
- 3 barrels and 5 sacks for extra storage
- random clutter to go along with the room

This is the first layout for this mod. There will be other seperate layouts that will change the decor to match different character types. also, I have planned a small questline that will feature a dungeon and will work with all versions of the mod.

Current version 1.1
I increased the range of the lighting to brighten the ends of the rooms and moved the rug near the desk up a bit to prevent clipping issue with the floor joints.

@Demorus Might be a good idea to put in the description that it won't work with DLCs : )

@DefaultGamer This mod was made for vanilla Skyrim

Downloaded this mod before purchasing Breezehome and got int he game and bought the house and all upgrades (excluding the childrens room because I wanted the alchemy lab instead obviousley) and everytime I try to enter the house it crashed my game. I have all DLCs and no other mods that effect breezehome or any player housing for that matter. Un-subbing till this is fixed.

Is it possible for you to move the alchemy table into the basement? also pushing the trap door into the floor a little bit so it doesn't look so bulky?

@AlexanderRM - You could try deactivating the expansions and entering the house again. This might cause issues with the expansions though so be sure to attempt this on a seperate save file. If that doesn't work I suggest using commands to return any items lost. sorry for the issues you are having but I don't have time to update these mods. I have a fellow mod maker looking into it for me so hopefully he can figure it out.

After downloading Dawnguard and Hearthfire, upon entering Breezehome (the house at all, not even the basement) the game crashes. I have a couple important items (although not that vital, mainly quest items) stored in the basement; any way to deal with this without losing them? I don't even care if I can't access them, but I'd like to avoid deleting them outright.

If you like the mod please be sure to tell a friend..also please rate it and be sure to follow/subscribe to me here or on the sites provided. I intend to put out more playhome mods and move into quests and factions with 3d modelling to follow. Also I plan to get into machinima for Skyrim when I'm taking a break from modding. So keep in touch.

Just finished a lighting update a user requested to brighten up the ends of the rooms a bit. Still keeps it looking like a candle lit basement but makes it easier to see.

@Flyin avacardo I had thought of adding a full crafting workshop to the basement, but I decided to make the basement look and feel as if it was part of the vanilla game. Basically I wanted to bring Breezehome to the level of the other player houses by adding a little more room, storage, and an enchantment table. It is possible that in another version I will release a full crafting area, but that will be a completely seperate mod. This one will remain vanilla-ish. Thanks for the input. Hope the mod works for you and if you want a full crafting area just follow/subscribe to me on the links I listed and eventually that mod will be avaliable. =)
