Start expanding the map shown on Bigmap as explained in the guide, a maximum of 10 x 10 Bigmap tiles. Follow the guide instructions on setting the Bigmap queue and then copy / save the map image once it's done processing.
While I don't have instructions to get a Google map overlay (although I've heard it's possible), you can get openstreetmap content to be really high res and detailed by going to a site called Bigmap.
