Update Jan 30 2017
7.1 block effective drilling area is in effect again, However using the Alt-Mining ability will result in a 28 block wide hole, so you have been warned!.. Once I have a fix for that I'll update this again, but in the mean time this should get you back to your regular sized bore holes.

Rebalance cost of drills and toughen them up.

It's been many years since I made this.. I got the image off of google.. it's a real drill from the 30s or something if I recall.. I may be wrong.

That is sad, but we have to accept your decision. We just put our money together and purchased a high-performance server.

Yeah, I'm thinking its' possible however the lag induced by such vast excavation would destroy server sim quality. This kind of thing would require too much time to make and I'm not really interested by the concept.

We actually need an XXL Industrial Drill for our server. A radius of 28 to 30 blocks to each side is needed here. The ships of the factions on our server all need the ability to go underground with their own drilling equipment and attack the enemy from all sides, including from below. Plenty underground battles here. But because of the restrictive drill radius size, we cannot have the large ships we want.

Can you create such a mod? Drill could be 5x5x10 blocks, and drill radius 30 blocks to each side.

I think that may be a modification of a Leman Russ a tank from Warhammer, because i'm pretty sure the Landship ain't got the horsepower to lug such a thing around
