Map Extension: Base Builder Resource plus (No Fly Version)

Description
This is the "No fly" version of the Base Builder resource + map extension

What does that mean?
It means that the base building zones that have been created all have atleast 1 ground accessible path. It also means that areas such as the north east river pillars have been designated as a no build zone. To enable the no build zone you must set EnableExtraStructurePreventionVolumes=true on your server.

What does the mod do?
In short, it adds over 100 base builder friendly locations around the map TheIsland (As in flat) and it also adds much needed resources such as metal, obsidian, crystal,

pearls, and oil to the southern part of the map. You could think of it as a resource balance mod along with adding lots of new and cool locations around the island to build!

Is the mod clean and stackable?
Yes, the mod adds a new map called BaseBuilderFriendly which adds the resources and new building locations around the map. If you disable the map extension then any

structures built on those locations would be destroyed so be forwarned.

I found a stuck spot or weird geometry, how can I report it to get it fixed?
Please post a comment or discussion below with a screenshot and coordinates of the issue with as much detail as possible and I will take a look at it.

  • Tweaked some geometry in the redwoods.
  • Changed the beach geometry to ignore water line (removes black post processing on beach rocks)

  • Fixed some stuck spots near red obelisk.
  • Added 2 new resource no build locations to the Southwest.
Version 1.0
  • Over 100 new and unique building locations around the island!
  • Lots of new resource zones in the southern regions of the map!
  • Each new resource zone has been also given a no build zone that can be enabled by turning on EnableExtraStructurePreventionVolumes=true (Note your client will show that

    you can still place in these areas and will show the building as green, however the server will not allow you to build on these locations if enabled!)
  • No build zones added at each of the obelisk to prevent players from building on the obelisk platform.
  • Made the swamp useful by adding pearls and oil!
  • All base locations have been given atleast 1 ground accessible path (except on the northwest iceberg)
  • Land access has been added to the penguin rich iceberg in the north west!
  • New pathway down to penguin rich areas has been added to aid in accessibility!
  • Blue obelisk western pathway has been filled in so ground dinos can access it!
  • Lots of new explorable locations that likely contain resources!

I really love this mod. I am a compulsive builder and having more room and Resources is so so nice. Liked/Fave. Nice Addition.

+1 to 123's request. I'd really like the additional resources without the flat spots. Not that I think they're a bad addition, quite the contrary, I've just had lots of practice now building on weird and uneven terrains; the only spot I've found on Island that continues to frustrate me is a plateau near the famous metal pillar in the Northeast canyon that cannot even have pillars put down on, but I think I found a solution to that too.

I can separate the resources and geometry into their own sublevels and also make a low resource sub level and high resource sublevel that are selectable based on the ini file - It would take some testing to ensure that the level changes don't clobber structures. I am working on other mods atm but will take some time this weekend to mess around with it.

oh cool I'm glad to you asking this question :)

can you make the flat surfaces and extra resources both seperated from each other and configurable from the gus.ini.

is there any chance to adding extra new cliffs to some of the mountains mid-high spots and adding a parameter for resource richment. for example low or high resources.

do you mean Structure Placement Collision? it shouldnt be enabled on pvp servers. ppl use this function to get inside of the terrain and blow up each others under the terrain.

(ps:There was also same problem at lat41 / lon67 but it is resolved with last update. 87 / 56 still has this placing foundation problem)

Do you have EnableExtraStructurePreventionVolumes=true in your gameusersettings.ini?
