Description
Hello.
To make this short, this mod makes the magic spells that are almost useless in Vanilla (Searing Doom, Vortex Spells in General, etc.) more viable by increasing the damage and changing movement speed and pattern. But i did not do any major alteration to spells, i really wanted to keep them close to vanilla but just more useful.
So you should feel familiar with the mod right from the beginning.

The Main Effort went into improving Vortex Spells and projectile spells since they often felt like they arent worth their high magic wind cost.

VORTEX SPELLS deal more damage now and most of them have slightly altered movement pattern which allows them to stay in the target area a lot longer. I have also decreased the wind of magic cost a little bit for most of them to give more incentive to use them (especially the ones which move fast and can go off target rather quickly, so its a risk-reward decision).
However vortex spells are by no means super weapons which will kill off several units at once. They are still very situational and should be used on massed enemys.

PROJECTILE SPELLS work the same way as in vanilla but i increased the damage slightly and added some explosion damage. These spells are now also useful against single entity targets.


If you just want magic to be a bit more powerful but rather close to Vanilla then subscribe and test this mod.
It is adjusted to large unit size but its still better at ultra than vanilla.

Its recommended to use this mod together with my Longer & Dynamic Battles Mod which makes battles last a bit longer.

It's compatible with radious (who set the max at 50 and the reserve pool at 100)and that's what i was looking for :)

thanks for this mod, it works very well. Also, have you planned to buff the mana reserve and gain? i think this would be a good idea, in the lore the spellcasters can drop a lot of spells before they being exhausted (i'm french sorry for my english)

i havent changed any AI usage tables maybe the AI just likes these spells^^
Yep the cast range is very big for overcast viletide but thats normal.
