Battle for Skull Pass v1.1 (FIXED)

Description
Hopefully this fixes the issue some had with not being able to play this map with faction unlockers/other maps.

Hello, this is my first map in the editor after a couple trial runs with different maps. I want to make it clear right away I am not attempting to copy Party Elite's "Skull Pass" map. This map is modeled after the table top set and therefore retains the name associated with the set.

It's my most "finished" map thus far, but still requires some height editing work with the main road through the map. I hope to get feedback from the community regarding the map, so please comment below and let me know what you think needs to be fixed. I'll provide a list of known issues, and an update section below. If you like the map consider rating it a thumbs up!

Battle for Skull Pass Background

The Battle for Skull Pass was originally a Gamesworkshop starter box for the table top game. Fans of the franchise will remember it well as having lots of models. I've always wished to recreate the battles from the box set, and I remember there being a picture of a Skull Pass board (can't seem to find it anymore) in a white dwarf magazine. It had a river running through it with skulls in the side of a mountain, and a small road.

The Battle for Skull Pass will pit you against your enemy in a fight over the once flourishing Dawi highway through the mountains. Water runs from the old skulls, for which the pass is named after, through this rocky and hilly land. A Dawi village burns in the distance, and the once great hold across the pass has been defiled and despoiled by the Greenskins. They have made their mark on the pass with their idols and mockery. Take back the hold, and fight for control of the pass! This map features three lanes of attack, forests to launch ambushes and flanking manueveres from, craggy pathways and cliffs, and of course the winding skull river.

Playing it Lore-Friendly

If you wish to get the most from the map I suggest one alliance as dwarves, and the other as a mix of goblins and orc armies. You'll want to set the defender as the Dwarves and the Attacker as the Greenskins. However I recommend playing the map with different armies to see what kind of results it brings. I imagine each army will change the way the map is played completely.

Closing Comments
Thank you for subscribing! Please post all criticism in the comments section. Please make sure to clearly state bugs or map issues, describe them, and even better provide a picture via imgur to explain the issue better. (i.e if you find an area of the road in which your unit clips through due to lower height difference - screenshot it and post the imgur link here). I am on steam regularly and will check/respond to feedback. I have more maps in the works, and one Lore-Friendly map especially coming out for the Bretonnian DLC!

Things that still need work
  • Cliff edges need to be cleaned up some to allow artillery to position at the very edge or close to it - still working this out and is more a matter of getting a better understanding the editor.
  • Edges and slopes of the main road may not be completely lined up with the terrain height - causes units to clip through.

Known Bug's and Issues
  • Terrain heights along roads are iffy and units clip through them in some areas
  • May be some water poking through from the river in some areas
  • Armies and camera spawn looking backwards

Excellent, could you remake that alpha battle CA showed of Orcs fighting Empire?
