Simplified Meats

Description
ALPHA 17 VERSION AVAILABLE HERE: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1206339079

A mod changing most animal meats into 7 categories. Making storing meats alot more compact. Human flesh and Insect meat are not changed by this mod.

IF YOURE LOADING A OLD SAVE: In order to be able to load this mod onto an old save, you must remove existing vanilla meat from the save. This now includes meals that were sourced from vanilla meats. So remove all existing meals that use meat and you should be fine.

- Beef: Animals that produce Beef include: Cows, Muffalos, Alpacas, and Dromedaries.

- Poultry: Animals that produce Poultry include: Chickens, Ostriches, Cassowaries, Turkeys, and Emus.

- Dog Meat: Animals that produce Dog Meat include: Yorkshire Terriers, Labrador Retrievers, Huskies, Wargs, Arctic Wolves, and Timber Wolves.

- Venison: Animals that produce Venison include: Deer, Ibices, Elk, and Gazelles.

- Pork: Animals that produce Pork include: Pigs and Boars.

- Small Game Meat: Animals that produce Small Game Meat include: Squirrels, Red Foxes, Fennec Foxes, Arctic Foxes, Turtles, Cats, Chinchillas, Snakes, Monkeys, Alphabeavers, Boomrats, Racoons, Capybara, Snowhares, Hares, Rats, and Iguanas.

- Big Game Meat: Animals that produce Big Game Meat include: Polar Bears, Grizzly Bears, Cougars, Panthers, Boomalopes, Thrumbos, Elephants, Rhinoceroses, Megasloths, and Lynxes.

This mod makes changes to all vanilla animals so it is more than likely incompatible with any other mods that do the same. Animals added in from other mods should have their meats named after them like they normally would.

This sounds like my kind of meat optimization! It's not too simple, nor too complex. It's just right. The only thing it seems to lack is the ability to consolidate meat from modded animals.

Any chance of an update for [1.0]? As I doubt that RimWorld will get another major update, mods that update to [1.0] should probably not need to get updated again.

I've found another bug. Lately, I can't milk my boomalopes for chemfuel anymore. The problem is fixed when I deactivate this mod. Can you look into it?

I put in an update that may or may not fix this error. Just try triggering the same event and see if it still occurs.

Whenever the game trys to generate a trade caravan which may have an elephant in it (playing in arid shrubland, i get an exception which is probaly cause by this mod (could pinpoint it to your mod which i love sadly)

Error message:
Cannot generate arriving trader caravan for The Purple Ibis Rarxigobra because there is a pawn kind (Elephant) who is not a carrier but is in a carriers list.

The mod is now updated for Beta 18. I uploaded the Alpha 17 version as a seperate item, you can find it here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1206339079

@Project 06, glad to hear there is a possible update coming. The fact that you are working on it, is all that I need to know.

Though I would like to mention, that while I do not need it, I know many prefer different versions of mods. If it isn't too much to ask for a dedicated A18 version, I know many would appreciate it. I am seeing it as a reoccurring theme when I am trying to check on mods for the A18 update.

Thank you for your time.

Ill see what I can do about updating the mod for 18, may take a few days as I'm working now and have far less time.
