This sounds like my kind of meat optimization! It's not too simple, nor too complex. It's just right. The only thing it seems to lack is the ability to consolidate meat from modded animals.

Any chance of an update for [1.0]? As I doubt that RimWorld will get another major update, mods that update to [1.0] should probably not need to get updated again.

I've found another bug. Lately, I can't milk my boomalopes for chemfuel anymore. The problem is fixed when I deactivate this mod. Can you look into it?

I put in an update that may or may not fix this error. Just try triggering the same event and see if it still occurs.

Whenever the game trys to generate a trade caravan which may have an elephant in it (playing in arid shrubland, i get an exception which is probaly cause by this mod (could pinpoint it to your mod which i love sadly)

Error message:
Cannot generate arriving trader caravan for The Purple Ibis Rarxigobra because there is a pawn kind (Elephant) who is not a carrier but is in a carriers list.

@Project 06, glad to hear there is a possible update coming. The fact that you are working on it, is all that I need to know.

Though I would like to mention, that while I do not need it, I know many prefer different versions of mods. If it isn't too much to ask for a dedicated A18 version, I know many would appreciate it. I am seeing it as a reoccurring theme when I am trying to check on mods for the A18 update.

The update works great except the 3 foxes are dropping dog meat instead of small game meat per your screenshots.

@Kyree, The meals you made contain meat that does not exist anymore which makes them buggy. Enable dev mode and delete all the meat and meals you have and cheat in some replacements. That should solve your issue.

Well the bug reported my Mavoc was present the entire time, it essentially made the names of the meats the same, but didnt allow them to stack together which pretty much made the mod useless. Try maybe starting a new save and see if they feed themselves properly. I've pretty much stopped modding and playing this game so I don't really test my mod out completely when i release updates.

I have an odd feeling this change just broke my save; this appears to be the only mod updated today, and it was working fine before. No one in my colony will voluntarily eat, now, and if I force them to eat, often they'll get *almost* finished, then drop the meal and run away.

Alright the mod should now be functioning properly, however, just like if you installed the mod for the first time, any prexisting meats will cause critical errors. Sorry for the inconvenience.

As I said, this was the only mod installed. I saw the issue with my full mod list so I uninstalled everything else for a clean test.

This mod doesn't work correctly, tested with only this mod installed.

The foxes drop fox meat instead of small game
The wolves drop wolf meat instead of dog
The bears drop bear meat instead of big game

Though the worst part is, the meats of the same name from different animals do not stack as they are different item types. So all the different animals are still dropping unique meat types that are now named the same.

The previous version was fully compatible so long as old meats didnt exist I.E. Ibex Meat or Yorkshire Terrier Meat. Get rid of all of those meats that are named after vanilla animals and it should be fine. You can get rid of the meat by cooking it into food too.

wishmaster has a mod for leathers called wm too many leathers. In fact you coud probably ask him or look at it to see how he did it because it even merges mod leathers. Though his uses hugslib.
Also awesome mod. Always annoys me when I have like 20 different piles of meat with like 6-12 or so meats in them.

@Limdood, I suppose it would be possible. The biggest issue would be categorizing leathers due to the fact that leathers are normally labelled after the exact animal they came from. However, I will see what i can do.

Awesome mod! It's such a small change, but it solves one of the more frustrating issues in this game. Finally, my meat freezer won't have to be carefully micromanaged to fit into a reasonable area!

@Lizz Gothica, Insect meat gained from Megascarabs, Megaspiders, and Spelopedes remain unchanged and should function as they do in vanilla.

@Soulweave Human meat should be left alone as it normally would be, sorry for the lack of clarification, still in the process of updating information for this mod.
