Description
Presenting the HAC-P00K13

Heavy Assault Carrier, designed around my Heavy Assault Fighter. it can fit up to twelve HAF, or five of the stock 5a fighters. PLENTY of room.

I wanted to make a ship that was convenient, relatively cheap, and could be built from resources found on Akua. Yeah, a little high in rare resources but you should be able to use this as a base ship that is cheap to fly. It takes advantage of the fact engines don't need to be placed perfectly.

Summary of features:
-HUGE hangar bay for its size
-Fuel efficient
-36 growth plots, enough to easily build canned veggies and med supplies
-4 food processors so you can dedicate them for tasks
-4 Advanced constructors, also easy to dedicate. (I like to have one just for ore processing for example!)
-Plenty of cargo space
-Catwalk, if you attach a docking pad and swap it around to the top of your SV, you can dock to that and keep your hangar floor clean
-Secondary cockpit in catwalk
-Total of four passenger modules, two cockpits
-Color coded floors in rear for easy elevator use and minimal confusion
-Bridge has incredible vision if you like to fly in first person view

I doubt youll find a smaller class 3 that can fit even the 5a stock fighter. It was frustrating to me that so many of the stock ships are narrow, confusing, and inefficient. This ship takes full advantage of control panel use (p). I'd advise grouping and naming things as you go. This ship is designed to be as easy to use as possible, and probably could be modified for any purpose.

if you search for the HAF-P00K13, you can try my fighter out too. it fits up to 9 weapons, and has a lot of frontal armor for taking out POI. I've taken them out without taking one single blow to the ship, meant for lots of strafing.

The satellites were an experiment I tried to create a "floating" block. The reason for the satellites is so they can point vertically, as opposed to horizontally for a better firing angle for flyovers. So you don't need to put guns on the bottom. Helps keep the ship low.

One of the reasonsfor so many exit points at the top is to dock even bigger ships on top, such as if they introduce cv-cv docking.

As for the drill turret, I figured that's something better left to the player to decide if they want it. I thought I put in a harvest box, but I must have forgotten.

Do you think it would do well in PvP or do you think it would get blasted the moment it left PvE? How does it compare to similar ships, such as the Hakon? What do you think I could do to help it function well in late-game?

I think this makes a good early to mid 'live in' CV with room for food and a few sv/hv's with repair area and plenty of cargo storage, extra space if you 'park some of your sv's under the catwalk.

The hangar area is spacious for a relatively small capital ship and is low enough that loading hv's is easy. There is even enough door space that you can get the HV Prefab Tier6 tank in and out without difficuly and without needing to use boost which is something I found that most CV's lack.

Not sure about the Cannon 'Satelites' :steamhappy: I keep expecting them to fall off. I suggest users make sure to keep them repaired.

Having the large doors is nice for protecting your small vehicles.

I do like the easy access to both enter the ship (ramp and hatch access both) and to access the top of the ship through two elevator top access points.

I feel the only thing that might add to it is having a harvest box and squeezing a drill beam on it for asteroid mining.
