Viking sagas

Description
ATENTION: I have completely redone the campaign to fix bugs, specially, the berries and banks of fish that didn't dissapear.

Europe, 8th century:

The Roman Empire has fallen. The once flourishing civilization of the Mediterranean Sea has succumbed to decay and the barbarian invasions of Germanic tribes. In the far North, in Scandinavia, the harsh environmental conditions: food scarce, cold, wild beasts... preclude the human development needed to establish a great Kingdom people. And however was established...

Fleeing the horrific conditions of inland, on the shores of the baltic cities sought at sea its main bastion and source of resources. Soon Europe would suffer incursions of the fierce men of the North... the Vikings.

SCENARIOS:

1 Unification of the Scandinavian tribes
2 Exploring the unknown ocean
3 Looting the British islands
4 Terrorizing France (in colaboration with Wowegoo)
5. The devastation of Hispania
6. Terror spreads over the Mediterranean coastal (ludrakis scenadio, the base was made by Killionaire)

I downloaded this Campaign really to play Scenario #2 The Unknown Ocean. I beat it on Medium Difficulty and liked it alot.

First, a criticism: A message appeared in the Objectives saying to build a market, Town Center, and four houses, but once I discover the western village ruins, that Objective about building 4 houses disappears. It's probably a major flaw because you probably still need to buid them but you might not realize it. For instance, I forgot that I needed to make a Town Center.

Second, something that was neat: The exploration feature for the icey land of Greenland. the Lonely old man in the north has his health degrade slowly when in the snow, so that you can explore but there are a ton of predators in the snow. When you find him, you can sail across the Sea of Worms. You can fight the wolves by having Erik take out most of their health and then sending in archers to help, and then let Erik regenerate in a Town Center.

 [Following my other post, down.]

 3. British Islands
 Chronology (cf. 2.); trade; cavalry…

 4. France
Nice map, but the Loire river is too short. There is not enough wood in Britain.

 5. Hispania
 Why no walls?

 6. Mediterranean Sea
 Walls? ligh cavalry?

I criticized much, but I have to say: it was nice and I salute the work that you did! ;-)

Hi! It is cool to play a viking campaign and raid Britain, Europe and the Mediterranean Sea. But I have to point some details which make the game less fun; I will proceed scenario by scenario:

 1. Unification of the Scandinavian tribes
To begin, Vikings had not tribes, but small kingdoms (OK: it is detail… but I warned: I will point details!) and they were not unified by Swedish people… and they were not really unified.
There is tooooooo muuuuuuuuuuuch penguins! There is quite no fun at all with this. ><
Why is there no trade cart nor trade cog? Vikings were also traders.
 Why no cavalry? no spearmen?
Wolves are too strong. It is not very necessary to have so strong ones…

 2. Exploring the unknown ocean
 Penguins! ><
Greenland’s settling started circa 980 and stood, therefore, after that the Vikings raided and sacked British Islands (3rd scenario).
Cavalry? And there were no wild horses in Markland…

Very good, but extremely hard. Some suggestions aloof:

1) Have more resources. Forests and mines get very quickly depleted in all of scenarios. Maybe the mountains in Ireland can be replaced by a lush forest, and in France... there should be a lot of them too!
2) Correct some movement bugs. It seems that individual trees hamper movement sometimes.
3) Have a decent tech tree. Some additions are needed for the swordsmen.

History-wise, it's a very clever retelling of some battles (York and Vinland Saga), very interesting as campaign for the Vikings! Good job on that!

I've played 3 scenarios so far and I absolutely love it ! It seems like an official Campaign (maps, events, and gameplay) ! I love the fact that you used voices from the official scenario.
