Description
It is a world of unceasing war and endless terrors, but with a nation of men at its heart. A bastion of hope, and courage: The Empire.

This is an overhaul mod for the Empire of Men, making some quality of life changes to Offices, Technologies and Lords.



Savegame compatible but for the best experience start a new game.



Detailed Changes
As always, if it is not laid out here i have not changed anything!

Skills

Honest Steel will now also affect Greatswords!


Buildings

Both Shrine of Sigmar and the Wizard buildings are now available to be built at Tier 2 however their gold and turn costs remain the same. Witch Hunters can now be recruited from the tier 1 shrine/temple building as well.


Characters

Karl Franz is now unlocked by claiming ownership over Reikland, rather than getting a confederation.

Karl Franz has a new unique skill:
Statesman: +10 Diplomatic bonus to Empire,Bretonnian and Dwarfen Realms. Unlocked at rank 7.

Karl Franz's trait "Emperor" now gives +5 Leadership to all units in his army. Up from 2.

Balthasar Gelt's trait "Transmuter" has been changed to a factionwide bonus.

Both Wich Hunters and Warrior Priest have had their combat skills buffed, and they unlock earlier. Volkmar's battleprayers will also unlock earlier due to this.

Volkmar's Trait that increases Warrior Priest ranks have been changed into factionwide rather than provincewide.


Technologies and Technology Cost

A new technology has been added:

Not One Step Back: +10 Leadership to Greatswords Units.
The technology is tied to the Tier 3 Barracks building and requires it to be built to be researchable.

Rally Lesser Nobles: +10 Diplomatic Relations with Empire factions.

Divine Sanction: +10 Diplomatic Relations with Empire factions.

All technologies have had their turncost adjusted, lowered down to 6.

Offices

Emperor - A new effect has been added: -10% Recruitment cost, Lord's Army.

Reiksmarshal: +75 Exp to all forces factionwide per turn.

Supreme Patriarch: +20 to Winds of Magic power reserves. Up from 18.
Wizard bonus ranks have been changed to Factionwide, from local province.

Spymaster: -30% Hero action costs. Down from -50% but it is now factionwide, up from local province
+100% Line of Sight to the Lord's Army.

Arch Lector: +5 Public Order. Up from 3.
+5 Leadership to the Lord's Army.

Castellan-Engineer: Artillery upkeep reduction changed to factionwide.
Building construction reduction changed to provincewide.

Could it be, that the office of Castellan-Engineer does not work? When i have the mod active, the reduction in building cost does not work. Neither province nor region wide. Am i the only one with this problem? And thanks for the otherwise great mod.

Nice catch! It was an error i made, the effect of +12 Melee Defence was there in the mod table but i had not written it to be a rank 3 effect, it was set to 0 which is the default, sorry about that!

Hi Mate, thanks for the update! Guess I encountered a minor bug (or is it wanted maybe?): the 3rd rank of "Honest Steel" only has a +12 bonus to melee attack and no bonus to melee defency, anymore wheras the 2nd rank still hast the +7 bonus.

Mod has been updated, and some small things have been scaled down. Gelt lost his mini-melee tree since CA added a new tree of their own.

Smaller upgrade today, all wizards should now get their mounts at the same levels, normal horse level 4, barded at 6, pegasus at 11, the gryphon for the amber wizard is level 15 like Karl Franz's mount.

New update today! Gelt gets a small melee tree, Greatswords benefit from Honest Steel, and Witch Hunters and Warriors Priests should be easier to recruit and have better battle skills that unlock sooner!
