-Scenario-
Wilgea – Session 7 – Marshal Larinda’s Campsite
A Campaign by 1Gn0R
The mood is tense. Our party nervously awaits the imminent battle ahead. Hopefully the raggedy Kings Guard have sufficiently prepared the canyon cliffs on the border separating Velathia and Alisire. The scouts have spotted at least 350 of King Hilleach’s Orc forces marching towards certain death if our heroes can control the massive trebuchets. There will be considerable loss of lives if they manage to pass unscathed. If only King Kyrlach had listened to Marshal Larinda’s pleas. For now, it is time to rest, reflect and pray to the gods.

Our heroes lay themselves to rest after enjoying a few rounds with the troops. Our human fighter Exodus and our Halfling bard Marmalnuss toss and turn in their sleep with visions of a shadow figure, screams and moans can be heard in an unintelligible language. Our elven sorcerer Bifi Boltrim’s dreams are accompanied by the same shadowy figure. The figure speaks directly to him. His voice, dark but empty, “You have something that belongs to my master and he wants it back.”. Bifi has been carrying a book that has bound itself to him which the group found in the basement of the Packwell’s farmhouse during their purge of the cult of “Animators di wer sjach togofor” from Danshur. Meanwhile our dwarf paladin Stivonox is sound asleep in his tent, protected by the amulet that Brother Lesander gave to him for protection against the darkness that he himself felt when in the presence of the book. Guess it pays to toss 50 gold pieces into the collection each time you visit the cathedral.

As our group is ripped from their sleep, they find that something is different. The camp looks the same but there is no one to be seen. It’s as if everyone has left or they are no longer in the realm of the living. There are not even typical forest sounds to hear, no irritating crickets, no howling wolves, no chirping birds….. just silence. The shadowy dream figure becomes a reality. A dark crawler has been following them for some time and now he has shown himself. Will our heroes succumb to the dark caller or will they prevail? What is with this book that has attached itself to Bifi?

I never downloaded the original texture files. If I get some time, I will have to throw them in max and reskin them.

If you happen to have a copy of the missing textures I could host them for you. Shoot me a msg and we'll try and correct it.

Yeah, I noticed that as well. Alot of the items that are used in my maps come from other content providers. It is unfortunate.

Was just looking at your map. Several of the textures seem to have bad links. Love the looks of the layout.

Being able to use that gizmo to move a locked object is what i was missing. Thank you so much for your help

Make sure the campfire is also locked as well. If not, it will pop up above the effect cube.

The inportant thing is that the object is locked, that is the only way it will work. Once the object is locked, turn on the Gizmo "Move" Manipulation tool. To do this, mouse over the Gizmo tool (menu on the left side of the sreen) and a secondary menu will scroll out to the right. Choose the first option which is the move tool. Once you click on the object, the the gizmo will show up. Then you just pull on the gizmo tool axis you would like to move.

Thanks for repplying but I still cant figure it out.
It seems like the fire effect is below the map. How do you move it down there? When I try to move it below the campfire then the campfire just sits on top of the effect cube floating above the map. Is there some control for moving objects im not aware of that allows you to place things below the table surface?

Thank you for the comment. I place the campfire model first, lock the effect almost directly above it and then just move it down to the level I want. Hope that helps.
