Description
An army marches on its stomach, or so it's said. But in Stellaris, armies don't seem to need food at all! This mod fixes that: most armies now require food from your stockpile to raise. The only exceptions are robot and android armies, which obviously don't need to eat, and defensive armies, which can live off the land.

2.2.X UPDATE:
- Mod converted to the new economic template system of 2.2 Le Guin.
- Defensive buildings no longer cost food, since they require Motes instead.
- Hive leaders will once again cost food to hire, and for maintenance.

Please update this mod to v2.5.

I've just created a single-species empire of Lithoids, and they still have to pay Food to create and Upkeep Lithoidal Armies. That's obviously illogical.

Coming back to say it was indeed another mod, but it seems like as of 2.2.6, hive armies do cost food and uses it for upkeep, but hive leaders cost energy to hire and for upkeep.

Nope, but if you're not having issues, there's probably a mod conflict I didn't notice. I'll check again.

Not able to reproduce the issue on my end, ChillVillain. Anything in particular you know that triggers it?

There seems to be an issue with this mod and defense armies. They now become buildable and don't automatically generate when you make defensive buildings or have soldier jobs.

1 Food in Upkeep per Assault Army is far too much! Try lowering to 0.5 or even 0.4 Food.
