Description
(Formerly Massive Sol System)

Features:
  • -Modified Solar System custom starting system
  • -Expanded number of planets & orbital bodies
    (28 total! Vanilla had 20.)
  • -New planet & moon textures
    (Based off of JPL images & maps.)
  • -More realistic/accurate planetary distances
    (Vanilla distances between planets are arbitrary.)
  • -More realistic relative planetary sizes
    (Using a nonlinear scale. Stellaris can't handle a true-to-life scale.)
  • -Revised star generation/spawn rate
    (Now /MUCH/ more realistic. Class M stars will make up a majority of stars, etc)
  • -Tweaked planet/moon generation/spawn rate
    (On average, systems will have 2.5x the # of planets - and 2.2x the # of moons. Gas planets are /much/ more common, and habitable worlds are more rare.)
  • -Hundreds of newly added real star systems that will spawn a realistic distance from Sol (118 total!).
    (Currently optimized at 27 systems for balance reasons.)
  • -All stellar objects now have effects, depending on mass, radiation, & escape velocity.
    (Black Holes will drastically slow ships, Class M Dwarfs will allow faster travel, etc)

This mod is likely to overwrite or be overwritten by:
  • Any mod that changes the default Sol System start.
  • Any mod that adjusts vanilla star or planet classes.
    (Ex: Real Space, More Star Classes, Gigastructural Engineering, etc)
    (02/2024 - Real Space compatability should now be better than before, though these two mods have a TON of conflicts.)
    This won't result in a crash, but will result in one mod overwriting the other - possibly leading to awkward, undesirable results.
My recommendation is to keep SASS at the bottom of your load order.
If there are specific features from incompatible mods that you would like to see included in SASS, feel free to ask.

That's a compatibility issue with another mod in your load order.
Like the description says, this mod should probably be the last in your load order.

The orbits are broken, many of the worlds are generated within the stars; and the moons are found within the planets themselves.

Is there a reason why this mod causes the Common Ground origin to spawn with only one other federation member instead of two?

Just reporting that all three mods (this, fictional and patch) seem to be working quite fine in 3.4, just ignore launcher warnings, with minor visual glitches on Sol system ( screenshot ) and some missing localization strings (like planets appearing as "NAME_Charon", etc, instead of showing their actual nameplates).

Also reporting compatibility with Yet Another Galaxy Enhancement Mod , having Massive, etc, loaded after (below) that mod.

Not really a Massive Sol System update, per se, but the Planetary Diversity patch has been updated:
