BookMod

Description
Welcome to BookMod v 0.1!

Original concept by Maska_zgz on The Indie Stone forums, the literature mod replaced books as single use items with a wide range of collectible and different books.
Regardless, Maska_zgz's list were nicely formatted, and were used as the base on which to build Bookmod, implemented using ItemZed. I reached out to Maska and he appears to have abandoned the project, so I borrowed his material to set up bookmod.

Recently, reading was reworked to ease boredom, making the straight boredom modifier largely irrelevant. Rather than providing a specific bonus, the books are now time-passing tools. You can stil become bored while reading, but it is far less than standing around doing nothing.

BookMod is meant to turn books into collectible items and can only be used once-- once you've read the book, its useless to you, so you'll need another.
The aim is to give you something worth finding in houses even once you've collected your main items of note.

Known Issues as of 0.1:
Books are still consumed after reading, but at least the pages are global so you'll still be able to fill up your shelves with books.
Book weight has no direct correlation to number of pages.
I prefer a Title - Author format but preserved Maska's for this first version.

Community Feedback Requested:
How are the distributions?
Do you think bookstores have too many books?

Future Updates Planned:

Considerable changes are planned for BookMod over time.
0. Magazines and newspapers.
1. Collecting minigame. Each book will reward skill level points, play the reward sound when completed, and hopefully a clickable box (a la skill upgrades) will eventually be implemented. (collaboration welcome)
2. Implement trilogies. Like skillbooks, I aim to make trilogies useless unless completed in order.
3. Challenge Reading. Certain books will someday have hidden effects on the world. Maybe something good, maybe something bad.

i can't really program my way out of a cardboard box. the items are all updated to the point of itemzed a few versions ago but they updated the loot tables and broke a lot

@BluntMan NOPE sorry.

So by default all books should have minimum spawn rates. However, the loot tables are HUGE, so there are tons of different books. If you're having trouble knowing which books you have and need to look for, you can read the first page of everything you have. Pages read will be global so you can grab new books that dont have read pages.

On the positive side, at least books tend to spawn where other things dont, so its not like you're crowding important items out by spawning 3 books in a desk or 6 books on a shelf.

does anyone know if there is a way for us to turn down the book spawns on this mod? I made them very rare in sandbox settings and it seems like everyone still has a thousand books
