The Flood

Description
The Flood is my first attempt at a small Talos Principle custom campaign, built while I was learning to use the editor. There are 14 sigil puzzles to solve and 6 stars to collect. I tried to include a range of difficulty in the puzzles, but overall they are probably fairly simple compared to the others in the Workshop.

A big thank you to iRedCraft for his YouTube tutorial series about the editor, Grey Heron for the documentation about the dialogue system, and everyone anwering questions in the Workshop Discussion threads (in particular MousseMoose, Viribus and Mauritsio for their suggestions). Finally, thanks to my long-suffering playtesters.

I hope you enjoy the campaign! Please don't hesitate to put feedback/questions in the comments below - I'd be interested to hear which of the puzzles people enjoy most (and which ones are less popular).

Crucifix is impossible, no matter how many times I do it, it's impossible to jump off the cube while it's in the air

Tight set of puzzles. Really enjoyed how you created a nice thematic, narrative bridge throughout -- felt very Talos Principle. Thanks so much for making the mod!

@AG - This content was made prior to a major update to the game. Another user very kindly updated several old campaigns (including this one) to be compatible with the new version - this update can be found by looking for Talos Workshop 2.0 in the Workshop. Hope that helps!

I very much enjoyed The Flood! Very attractive landscapes, good challenges. Only downside in level design is in Private Pike: it's just too easy to steal a connector out (the small stone ridge looks so clearly like an intended place for the cube, then jumping out with a connector is simple, even for a novice wall-walker)... This connector can go in a couple different places which then makes Crucifix trivial -- both sigil and star. https://i.imgur.com/KKeSdbi.jpg

Excellent level design, just beautiful to explore every corner. Even the water areas are very nice even diving. Puzzles are just right as regards difficulty. Are not insane hard, but hard enough to struggle for a while at every puzzle. Some are really hard. But it's all the time fun, compared with other campaigns which are extremely hard and almost impossible to solve. I would rate difficulty similar to original TTP from mid game to end game. Very few are like some in RTG.
I would love to see more like this. thank you very much for your campaign.

Achieved a rank of President and managed to solve everything on my own aside from Valley of Death. (On that one, I looked at a video for 5-10 seconds based on comments here that it was more action-oriented than puzzle-oriented, and I regretted it almost immediately, though I watched little enough of the video that it still took some trial and error to make it work for me.)

Overall a solid collection of puzzles with my favorites being The Key Is To Lock and Unlock the Doors and Crucifix (I always wholeheartedly welcome new recorder mechanics). As others have already said, mines were overused. At the very least, I would have replaced the mine in Private Pike with a buzzer and removed the two mines in TKITL&UtD altogether (or maybe put a big silver Stanley Cup with the connector atop it and a QR code that reads "connector here" because it really doesn't matter and doesn't affect the puzzle to put a cheap obstacle at the beginning). I will let Hypocaust and Cerberus the Gatekeeper slide.

I have tested to submit with 0 or 1 or 2 solved tetromino puzzles besides the final terminal and I can now say for certain (I have tested all three possibilities):
submit with 0 puzzles solved gives you the rank of councillor
submit with 1 puzzle solved gives you the rank of senator
submit with 2 puzzles solved gives you the rank of president
that's it.
