Description
This mod is based upon Negi’s work ( https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=488375559&searchtext=transparent ).

(It is my policy that anyone can use the work I've done here, and modify or add it to their own mod, and publish it, though please note the original source.)

What this mod does is give the player a semi-transparent map-mode that has more vibrant map colors truer to the original RGBs codes located in the country files, and also reduces as much as possible the bleed through of the colors of the underlying terrain textures. As you can see from the screenshots you can still see the texture upon the political map, but the terrain color has been significantly reduced to prevent color distortion, and the brightness of the political map (and religious, and etc.) has been increased to preserve map color integrity. The main purpose of this mod, aside from aesthetics, is to help sufferers of Red-Green color blindness (like myself) from having trouble distinguishing map colors while using a transparent map, as the green terrain bleeding can often cause some problems, as well as make it easier to program new map colors, as the map now as closely as possible reflects the RGB codes of the original files.

If you are using “A Revolutionary Borders Mod” use this version ( https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=939273262 ) as that color luminosity has to be reduced.

Unfortunately I believe Paradox's latex changes to the code make it difficult to replicate in the current engine.

@Poconaut
This mod only affects graphics and is thus compatible with any and all game-play or overhaul mods. If the fast EU mod you mean is Fast Universalis, then no because the purpose of that mod is to remove every graphical aspect of EU4 that would slow down a Pc with a suboptimal graphics card, one of which is transparency.

is it possible to use this mod with the fast EU mod? or extended timeline?

You can always upload your own version, if you do eventually decide too.

@AstroCat managed to make it dynamic, but I'm not taking the time to upload it. Contact me if you're still interested (since it's from a year ago) (@reddbane jut in case)

@quence
Are you using any other map mods? If they also replace gfx\FX\pdxmap.shader then it will negate this mod.

Is this outdated? Does nothing for me
