DF - Claimblocks Not Underground

Description
This mod makes claimblocks require a direct connection to the sky. This prevents you from placing it underground or in otherwise inaccessible locations. Claimblocks can still be covered by blocks, the check only tests against voxel burial.

The blocks check once every three minutes, and will give you a warning when your claimblock cannot access the sky. If you do not resolve the issue within the next three minutes, your claimblock will self-destruct. :-)

No more buried claimblocks!

Various notes:
1. Works in both survival and creative.
2. Works in both single- and multiplayer.
3. Compatible with other claimblock mods.

WARNING:
If loaded on a live dedicated server, it will, after six minutes, remove all claimblocks from the world that do not have a connection to the sky. Unless, of course, their owners log in and fix the problem immediately.

This mod can be used by other modders to examine how to write custom entity components.

I haven't heard any complaints from people using it, so it should be fine.

Is this 0.6 ready?

Hey, is there anyway that I could get a version that checks for blocks too? I have been looking for the "claims require sky" mod, but cannot find it.

@Rakkeyal - like a beam of light shooting into the sky (with toggle)!!!!! that casino in vegas, the pyramid one - Luxor?

Is there a way to have the version that disallows blocks above the claim block as well?

hitori, you're the guy i want to seige offline. the game is in beta, metaphorically its like you are walking into the kitchen past the chef and eating food straight out of the oven. host your own server imho and become that example you need, using your candor and wit attract similar players! btw you are pushing like 300 hours, so for $20 and being in the kitchen while the chef is cooking it aint all bad...

Btw Deepflame, you know about the server Shad admins? They clearly state in the rules that they will not tollerate bullying, yet they blatantly violate that and ban players who actually, follow the rules, in favor of people who blatantly disregards rules and spearheads those rule violations. Apparently they nothing but a gang of fachists......... :steamfacepalm: :steamsad:

If you do not believe me go check the game suggestions i posted on steam, not a single one of these guys had anything nice to say regarding any of the idea's i had for improving the game mayorly and easily.

Anyhow this game is just a mayor dissapointment, and i will most likely never play it again becasue of the poor game mechanics, slow development and a self serving fachist community. :steamsad:

Fixed for 0.6 :)

I have made a change to the way it works. It now ignores the blocks, and only checks for voxel collisions.

Regardless of the sense of the mod I would like to give some bug reporting and improvement proposals.

You can not build a claim block when battlements or machicolations (or in general blocks) from a adjacent tower are above it. I get the idea, that in this case one or more blocks are "blocking" the claim block because they are on the same grid, but in the following screenshot you can see, that it should have enough air to breathe (I removed the machiolations from the tower on this grid).

I think the detection mechanism if the claim block has access to the sky or not should not (only) be dependent on grid blocks which are above it but also if it is somehow sourrounded by landscape voxels/block combination (which would prevent players from bury it underground)

[to be continued]
